Effect of ToAU on CoP.

The economy seems to be recovering from the head over heals splurge into new content, for which I find myself thankful. However, I've noticed less about CoP since ToAU.

Are casual players - those that really have no demand for Rajas etc... - still interested in CoP now that there are new areas for exp that are easier to get to?

There have been less CoP events scheduled in recent days (ToAU splurge) and I've noticed particular items CoP missions need have been selling really slowly. (IE... Yellow Liquids, CCB Polymers, STR Potions, INT Potions) It is definitely too early to tell if people are going to be rushing CoP, but will it be the forgotten expansion?

Anyone not planning to do CoP now that ToAU is out?
 
Well, perhaps to some extent, yes. But, on the flip side, there is content in ToAU which promote completing CoP. At the moment, the thing that really stands out to me is Blue Mage.

If your wanting to take BLU to 75, then there are spells that you can only get in Sea. So, I see that as some incentive to complete CoP.
 
ToAU actually gave me the drive to finish CoP. I didn't want to have 2 uncompleted expansions lol So I found myself a static and we just got sea over the weekend. We should have our rings by Monday. The best part is, at least I hope, is that my static will move into doing the Assault missions as a static.

I want my ring. Ive though i despize the cop mission me and my static as well as most of people I know still are doing cop. I think there is just more of a spread between doing assult and doing cop. Though i think the biggest drop is going be when the bring out the chocobo ring/raising and monster arena.

The only thing that really kept me interested in CoP was not truly getting sea, or getting the ring, but the storyline that goes along with the terrible crazy horrible missions ^-^

Not a huge bonus... nothing really stands out from the sea set, except maybe Disservement. (Although, you can argue Hysteric Barrage and Frenetic Rip would do decently similar, too.)

Saline Coat? Meh. Temporal Shift, Actinic Burst, Plasma Charge, Vertical Cleave? Ditto. Reactor Cool would be pretty nice though, kind of an enhanced Cocoon with ice spikes.
 
o0oo00o Forgot about BLU... so ToAU may increase CoP participation. I look forward to the day.

I don't know about most go-getters out there, but being the procrastinator that I am, always finding myself one step behind the curve no mater how much I play, I see this as a PERFECT time to jump at CoP and ZM stuff that would, until the update, have been swamped.

I personally know many Sky, Limbus, HNM LS's that canc'd farming and hunts for the sole chance to be the 1st one to get "Whateveritem". So, being one to take advantage of someone elses greed, I would suggest, Git'R'Done! Go farm your god pops and Rivine NM's while ya can!

But, as far as items selling slowly, and people wanting to get all the "NEW" stuff, hey, whatever continues to drop prices, I'm all for it. Let them get listed 3+ times before someone gets the hint that prices are still too high, even with the drops server wide. I know I'm not the only one that cried when I saw a stack of earth crystals for 500 Gil again, that shit hasn't happened in over a year atleast.

But someone mentioned that people will see, that to take on some of the new challenges, they could use some of that R/Ex stuff from CoP and ZM, they may be inclined to backtrack in due time.

And as with all the updates, everything "NEW", will drop millions in prices once the novalty wears off and that Swiftbelt that ya didn't bother with in CoP will seem kinda nice with your fuggly new Turban ^-^.
 
I wish I could've rushed to finish CoP before the new expansion, but I didn't even have a lvl 75 job yet and was rushing to get my rdm to 75 and barely doing anything else until I got rdm to 75 before this expansion. Now that the expansion has been out for a few weeks, I've already done quite a lot that I could do already in the expansion and just waiting on the upgrades.

I'm still on Diabolos fight mission of CoP though and hope to get a static going to complete CoP or at least find time to get people gathered together to complete it. I'm pretty much a quest junkie too and would often rather do quests and missions instead of exping. So I at least want to complete 3-5 because more Tavnazian quests are available after that mission.

With the wave of new players coming in too, they'll eventually be doing CoP I'm sure. I've noticed a lot of people lately doing promy runs as well.

QFT! The ring doesnt interest me cause.. I don't know which one I want.. Sea? I am too low for.. but the story! Goodness it is so intriguing >.<

Uhm... As of now, I have 3 uncompleted expansions going ... /cry and I haven't even officially started Zilart yet.
 
bit off topic, but me and a friend were discussing what QFT means - anyone care to tell me?
 
It's a mystery. Everyone says it but nobody really knows what it means. lol

Are you kidding? I'd love to get Sea and a Rajas' Ring...just, stuck on Promy-Vahzl right now and NO ONE wants to do it...

Don't think the problem is no one will want to do it, the problem is almost everyone whos smart enough to successfully do CoP has already done it or is stuck at some part where other capable people just aren't at.

Hmmm, someone tell this man about how BLU gets extra job traits.

Plasma Charge + Actinic Burst = Auto-Refresh that only takes 2 spell slots.
