Figured it'd be nice to have a list of combinations people have used.

It's fairly common knowledge that the orphic egg is granted by trading the day of the week's elements:

ex.: fires, winds, earths, ice, light, etc.

Just found it. Orphic egg: lvl1 all jobs. Singing skill +1, latent effect, accu+1, atk +1, Evade +1.

No idea what triggers the latent, but the singing skill is worthless to brds since it goes in ammo slot.

Rumor has it you need to have a song casted on you for latent to Trigger
 
I can confirm that any bard song triggers the latent on Orphic egg. I have one, sang a song and my attack went up by 1.
 
the same furniture eggs should still work, you need the first 3 and then its the first 5 letters of a region controlled by what country's egg you want (IE: Saburta is likely under windy, so sabur would be windy's egg)
 
Um.. doesn't look like someone has played Bard at all. The instruments go in the Range slot, not the ammo slot. So Bard can make use of the new egg, and I am sure it could be pretty handy at low levels for them too. I guess it could also be useful end game too, since there isn't much for them to use in that slot.

Apparently you don't play bard either. You can't have an instrument in the ranged slot and something in the ammo slot at the same time. Thus, this is useless for bard; since +1 or +2 to any song will have a bigger effect than +1 singing skill.
 
let me respond to the "its useless to bards" thing...

Have you ever heard of equipment change macros? If you play as bard and solo, use ur instrument to do a song, then switch to the egg for acc and atk because as we all know, bards hardly do enough damage. So if you farm or something, it is hardly true that its useless. Even +1 acc is useful, and as a DRG, it should be something im aware of.
 
Edit: I misunderstood dbuman's point. That looks like it might work.

While you're soloing a lot more works for the job than is allowed during parties. No one cares that mages can/will melee if they solo, no one cares what kind of gear they wear while they solo, so just saying it'd be useful for soloing doesn't mean anything. In a party setting, BRD would get no use out of the orphic egg, because most bards don't melee, not that their melee would noticiably help kill anything.
 
you guys are dancing around the obvious. new job + brd sub = +1 ACC, ATC, and EVA. AND a brd song of your choice. sure, its only the first 10 or so levels, but thats 10 helped levels thanks to SE.
 
Not to mention this egg is leet sauce in monk merit party for races that get a shitty sachet
