92chr, 11 mis-charms and -2800xp later on DC Steelshells.
Yet Enk, level what, 50, 55? Can charm L75s a whopping 95%. Orcs in Dynamis charm anyone in a 10-foot radius 95%.

A L60 Summoner mob's elemental can totally kick my L75 Summoner's elemental's butt. And they can summon while silenced.

This bullsh-!t needs to be fixed, badly. If they wanna make enemy races naturally stronger, by all means they can go ahead. But they seriously needto fix this crap that totally defies the logic of of the jobs. Enemy charm, enemy summons, Mijin Gakure. What a bunch of crap.

hey shit happens, maybe the next time youll charm like 30 straight

And Tyrath, as I already said, not complaining about how an EM Skeleton Dragoon would more like than not rip a player DRG of any race in half, I'm moreso complaining about how beastmen of (x) job magically get different limiters, best example being how enemy mijin gakure is entire different from the player version.

I should just go back to WoW, crap on FFXI.

I know what you're complaining about. I just said, enemies have more variety and make things more interesting. I'd only worry about it if only certain players had special mijin gakure :P

yea I hate that crap... Like my other jobs at 75/bst with same amount as charm as my bst .. charm better than my 75 bst fully decked out -_-

Well I suffered a similar fate in sky yesterday.

Pot casts Poisonga II. So OK, I run out of antidoes.
Fight for a bit. Pot uses Mysterious Light. 200 damage down, no prob, 750HP left.
Pot casts Thundaga III, I'm like SHIT SHIT I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE.
Gravitied so I attempted so walk out of range. Thundaga takes me to 20 odd HP. Poison finishes me off with my Reraise gone because it wore off beforehand.

The game was DETERMINED to finish me off. Ah well. I eat a homepoint and went back.

And I bet that reraise wore off probably like 4 minutes before you ate dirt, huh. haha. Curse of the bst.

I'd say "Curse of the Bambino"

What?

Correct. When reraise is on, you're nigh-invincible and can do the most crazy things and not die. As soon as it wears off it's like losing the wings on a plane.

That's because if your WHM is 75, and sub your BST that is 75, for some reason your charm won't be limited to that of a lvl 37 job. BST is the only sub that's almost as effective as BST main. If your BST is 37, and you subit to 75 WHM, your charms will be a lot worse. If your BST is 75, however, and you sub it,your charms will be almost as effective as 75 BST main.

Basically, BST is almost the only subjob that's not limited by its sj level.

Hobgoblin Physicians (whatever) can Silena themselves, while silenced.

Tyrath or Odon can vouch for this, it happened many times over the course of a group once.

Moblin Aidmans too in oldton. This is a gob ja?

Fixed. *cough* =P

oh pshaw, that's only if your BST is already 75 :P yay for that charm glitch(?) thing :P (assuming it's still like that)

Just outta curiosity, what is Mithra base CHR as 75 Bst/Whm?

As 75 hume Bst/Whm, I got 72 base and about 106 CHR in my charm setup.

I'm serious about the Korrigans too. I doubt I see more than a couple of mischarms an hour.

Of course . . . when they do happen, it's still likely to be at the absolute worst time ><

If I remember right, 64 base. I'll double check that when I'm done with my party.
Mandragora have a natural charm resistance I think...pretty sure all Amorphs/Plants do?

This is my experience as well. Pucks in the den on the other hand are an exercise in futility for me.

Exo should post his sig Umbriel says it well

It's always a struggle I'm guessing even AFTER 75 with merits?!

wtf

Yah I totally agree about those Puks. They're pure evil.

I imagine that was still a great camp back before the patch though. Not being able to scatter out a "zoo" means taking your life in your own hands on every freakin charm :P

To me, it's not so much a struggle after 75. It's kind of leisurely. I can jump out and bust up a good 4-6k an hour, stop to help friends whenever they need it, and not feel the sword of "lfp" dangling over my head whenever someone's in need.
