Well, was searching around Newegg, and since they ship to FPO addresses, I thought I may as well look for some things I've wanted for my laptop for a while, not like I'm doing much else but floating for the next month >.>
Anyways, found this game. I really liked Elder Scrolls III a lot, and thought I would go ahead and nab this one. Now, it's not supposed to get here for a month or so, was just curious if anyone has played this yet, and if they know much about it, or have a decent opinion about it. I appreciate your feedback ^^.

Word, if you dug 3 wave goodbye to your loved ones and bid sunlight and the outside world a fond farewell. Oblivion rocks.

its a great game shame on the mages guild i became a vampire and now can not cure it :(

Sounds good, any details though? What is different about Oblivion from Morrowind? Does it come with the TES Construction Kit? Details details! :)

As far as waving goodbye to the outside world goes, that's not possible >.>. I have to work out every day and go to work too =P.

The kit only comes out on pc and only after 1year of being out but you can all ready download a warewolf mission

Reminds me of gay. ~PurePwnage'd

Actually, I got it like a week ago, I think. I played it for a while, it's pretty good, but I couldnt really get into it. I gave it to my brother, because he's an Elder Scrolls fan.

There's a quest to cure vampirism, I need to go through it myself but I'm too lazy.

The game's fun, it took me a long while to get into it, but then I had never played another elder scrolls game before.

It's a good visual game and as all Elder Scrolls allows versatility but the main story is pretty weak. I finished the main story at level 2 and in 2 days. Have all but the mages guild mastered. IF it wasn't for the versatility, this game would be weak at best but since you can roam around and go at your own pace and create your own world, it makes this game really good. I'd recommened it and you don't have to diverege hours into it as you do in FFXI.

This game rocks. period.
There is so much going on, yet it never becomes overwhelming, and the strat guide is thicker than my towns phonebook ( .__________________.)

Almost 1/2 way there lol.
They say it has over 100 hrs of gameplay. Thats putting it lightly.
Since its release last month, they have already added two more quests / areas and if this game progresses anything like Morrowind did, I forsee quite a few expansions.

The only issue I have now is trying to squeeze FFXI and Oblivion into my very limited game time. Oh, and theres dealing with my Husbands Battlefield 2 addiction /sigh

I need another 360.

I run it on a Dell E1705 with T2300, 1GB RAM, and X1400. It's acceptable, but not pretty. I can run it at 1280x720 with most bells and whistles turned off at a reasonable frame rate, but it's of course not nearly as nice as the screenshots you see everywhere.

However, the cool thing is that there seems to be enough content to play this game for years to come, and the high-end $4,000 rigs that play this at 60fps at max settings will be affordable by that time. ;)

So yeah, get it. If you can't play it, just shelve it till you can.

If you do it you need 3 items to make a potion but i err killed the monk who makes the potion for you.

This game is fun, just wish the copy I 'found' was in English. All the text is in Spanish, but at least all the voice overs are in English. So I get the main story plot, but I can't read my journal, items, or what any of my stats do. Not even sure what bonuses my class gets. Still has some of the aspects I disliked from the 3, but it has improved elsewhere so much that I can overlook them for now.

Does the horse absolutely kill you frame rate for anyone else? I can run through crowded towns and wide open spaces easy, but as soon as I start to ride a horse my frames go to chop.

Oh man Rones ..., just go buy the game, it's worth it no matter how you look at it (i.e. price per hour of entertainment, or contribution to the people who developed it).

My laptop is built for entertainment purposes, but it seems like this games req's are rather high end. I did not get a chance to view the system spec's on the game, mainly because the page didnt load them while I ordered the game on Newegg. Here are my system specifications, do you think it will run on this?

1GB DDR RAM
128MB Dedicated Gforce FX Go 5700
3.4Ghz Intel Pentium Processor, w/hyperthreading
17" Wide Screen LCD Display
80GB Hard Disk Drive

Yea, you'll be perfectly fine.

Do what I did and steal the great(er) soul gems from shops and stuff.

Oh yeah the first week or two I got Oblivion I don't think I went outside other than for uni. I don't play it too much now though, but that's only because i'm loving PUP.

Also the guy in my avatar is Brother Martin. What more does a game need?

Souns like my roommate, who went on a killing rampage and killed over 300 people and had a bounty of about 380,000 before he accidently clicked "go to jail." If that's the case, you're screwed.
