Elitemage and a Boyhada Party

Ok, logged on today as my WHM and after a few minutes I get a tell from this Lvl 55 Bard Elitemage to help him with Genkai 2. I try from time to time to help out on random requests so I decide to give it a whirl. The genkai 2 party is kinda fun, cus we end up just doing it with me (75 whm) the bard and a 75 JP Nin named Sandman. We kill all 3 NM's easily in about an hour total.

After this is over I put my seek flag up on my 54 BLM and Elitemage asks if I want to join party he's starting. I agree and before long we have a well setup party heading to Boyhada tree. Party rolls along good for about one hour and 45 minutes before this guy just out of nowhere says "I have a Counter Strike game now, and since CS > FFXI see you." Elitemage then disbands and logs off. I'm now pissed to high heaven because I wasted an hour helping this guy do genkai 2 then he disrespects me and the other people in the party who were all doing there jobs well. This kinda shit just is unacceptable. I was told shortly after this that several friends in my LS have also had this guy just up and leave a party with no warning. So, if you are lvling in the 50's atm, resist the urge to give this disrespectful idiot a party invite.

Our party was put together fairly well, so we decided to try a get the ninja his lvl since he was only 500 tnl when the jackass disbanded on us. So we manage to roll with the remaining 5 ppl and were getting chain 4 for 230 xp easily. By this time, our RDM has to leave, but he has kindly gotten another RDM named Bookitty to replace him. This RDM comes in and after a few pulls mistargets a Wild Hare. Mistarget is actually wrong I think, cus when i checked the log the RDM had casted Drain, Aspir and Dispel twice on the damn bunny. I sleep the bunny and things are ok till another bunny wanders over and links. My party then precedes to stand around and watch this bunny kill me. The other BLM escapes the party and asks why I put bunny to sleep. I say, "Check the log, the RDM mistargetted and I tried to sleep the bunny." The red mage then immediately disbands party and logoffs.

I guess the point to all this is I've had a ton of absolutely shitty parties in the last 2 weeks on my BLM. The current crop of LVL 50ish players have been on the whole absolutely dreadful at their jobs and I'm sick of helping these idiots and disrespectful jackasses get any XP and I like eveyrone who reads this to know who the biggest assholes and dipshits of players are. I plan on addign to this list any and all idiots I encounter over the next few weeks. So check back for updates on ppl to avoid inviting.
 
CS eh? I used to play. I heart AK's.. Colt's too. I go to cyber cafe's from time to time to play in tourneys.. Made money once. Like $1000... Anyay..

I had a constant 300fps on it. I took the limit off my card, then boosted max and developer on it. Was too smooth. People liked to spam smoke nades to lag it up, didnt hurt me the least.



I like pie.
 
If my sig is any indication, I too am a fan of pie.

I hate it when people just up and log out. Whats up, why cant they give any warning before hand? At least 10-20 minutes...
 
Yeh, but just be happy that if these people keep doing these kinda things in pts in the 50s, they wont be having an easy time getting 60+ seeing as most people will know to avoid them.

I've been in a few pts which had their fair share of idiots who pull a mandy or bunny in boyahda tree as well, it makes me laugh when it kills them and everyone else gets out ok. :twisted:
 
Some people ask why i charge when they want help, reason is simple. If they screw me over later in the game, at least I got a nice chunk of cash from them. Other then that, sorry for what happened :(
 
I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who's been getting into shitty parties lately. Whats even worse is im in the mid 60's with my rng. Now, I dont expect every pick-up party I get into to last 3+ hrs and bring in 15k+ exp but, I do expect people who level a job past 60 to know what the fuck they're doing. I guess I'm expecting to much cause I have partied with the dumbest fuckers I have ever played with. When I leveled my pld through the 60's, I might have a shitty party 1 out of every 5 parties or so. Now, its just the opposite. How the hell can someone get to 60+ and not know how to voke, mb, sc, pull mobs, keep refresh up, heal without spamming cure IV every 2 sec, and what really just makes me want to break my foot off in someones ass is IF YOUR PAST 60 AND DON'T HAVE ALL YOUR FUCKING AF STOP LEVELING AND GET IT!! There's no reason to not have all your AF if your 65. Not to say there's not other gear to wear, say scorpions harness for thfs or haubs for drks, or switching out certain pieces for different situations. I've talked to friends of mine who have been playing since NA launch and we've all noticed that the majority of players now dont have a fucking clue how to play or just dont care. Its really got to the point when I get a party I expect it to suck and if by some miracle it doesnt it wont last 30 min. Also, if you decide to make a party try to put something together that actually works. In the dunes you could just throw anything together and get exp, but when you need 30k+ exp dont waste peoples time just grabbing whatever is there and saying "I think this will work " I get so sick and tired of getting an invite then waiting 30min while the leader scratches his ass trying to grab someone then we spend another 30min while everyone tries to figure out where to go. Then when everyone finally picks someplace, we find out that someone doesnt have CoP installed or they dont have all the tele-crystals. If your stupid or lazy ass doesnt have CoP by now or havent gotten all the tele crystals at this point, stop whatever the fuck your doing and go get them. There is no excuse. Guess thats about it. I'd like to think the people that need to read this will, but thats like hoping for a compitent party. I'll be checking this thread in hopes that people will list the stupid asses and gimp lazy fucks so I'll know who to avoid
 
Elitemage is wierd. He spent 1 hour trying to explain how gilsellers didn't make any money and that they just pass money around or some shit. At one point I ask him "How do you think they make money in this game, a factory?", and he said something along the lines of "The japanese make all the gil" :roll: He then logged... dipshit

Hmm..

Don't know him, don't care, but there's an inkling of truth in that if you read it right. ^^ For the most part, gilsellers don't generate NEW gil. They just take yours, pool it, and sell it to other people. Though I strongly suspect that they were generating lots of new gil before the fishing patch went through.

He also started a shout war in Jeuno this weekend, on how Monks suck and no one likes them. This comming out of a persont thats in there 50's and still rank 2.

Lies. They'll just keep on going and going, and you'll keep on inviting them, even if you've heard bad things about them. Especially the ones that play a highly desired job simply so they can actually get invites.
 
For whatever reason I have ignored Elitemage every time he's asked me to party with him. But after a series of bad parties lately, I've given up on leveling for the time being. I just can't justify the gil or time I spend for such shitty results when working with such shitty players and personalities. So yeah, I'm fairly disillusioned with the 50-somethings these days, too.

Exactly, food is getting so expensive, and if you bring juices, the money is not worth the exp honestly. As you get higher level it seem, people lose more and more skill.

I join a party, see the PLD cant hold hate for dick, I dont get refresh for 2 fights, the WHM wont stop casting cure IV, we cant get a good SC going .... I say to myself, this is a no food party, and I dont use it. :lol:

No, I am not leeching exp, I dont waste my money on useless exp. If youre in a party with me, and you dont see me use food .... :cry: :cry: :cry:

I'm the same way. I usualy do about 5-6 fights before i decide to use a plate of sole sushi.
 
Elitemage is on my friends list...he seemed pretty nice when I met him >.>
