I'll talk slow for you Kronox and try to use simple words so you understand.

Inflation is caused by more money being in an economy. Archer rings do not create inflation, because they don't generate more gil. You can sell them FOR gil, but that doesn't create gil out of thin air. Wherever the gil came from originally is from somewhere else.

This is a very very basic concept, and if you don't understand it you have no business flapping your mouth off about the economy, because you don't know jack shit. Not about economics, politics or probably wiping your own ass.

It is however true that some gil sellers DO create inflatoin, the ones who spend their time creating the actual gil. But believe it or not, I haven't seen a hell of a lot of them doing that as opposed to camping NMs vigorously.

The results of professional teams hogging the NMs is bad but before you try to identify a problem understand some basics.

You know why I hate you. Any other American who read your filthy shouts should hate you. For anyone who doesn't know, Krono shouted over Lower Jeuno how he was glad the planes hit the World Trade Center buildings, resulting in a shout war and his temproary banning. Honestly I don't know how you show your face in the game anymore, you should just delete your character and move on.

There aren't many ways to subtract gil from the gil pool, so it keeps growing and growing. It's like if the US just kept printing money to pay for everything, it would still be circulating. Farmers take the place of the US, killing Beastmen/doing Quests/anything that doesn't involve getting money from other players or the auctionhouse is printing new money, BUT, there isn't a big problem as to why people would farm nonstop, so the gil pool is controlled, but still growing.

NOW, Gilsellers Monopolize everything possible, increasing demand on virtually everything. Farmers start doing everything possible to gain gil, and since in this game there isn't a sufficient way of deleting gil from the pool, we get a huge gil pool, in a market full of greedy people.

So, this would've happened anyway without gilsellers, but they acted as a catalyst, and pumped an enormous load of gil into the economy at a fast pace.

Did I get that right? I might be completely wrong so go easy on me if I'm wrong.
 
Yes this is fairly accurate. But the truth is, anyone who has ever played an online MMORPG before can attest to this... insane inflation is to be expected. I'm not saying Gil Sellers aren't a problem, but I'm saying they aren't the route of the problem. If they speed up the economy, they do it by doing hard work that players wouldn't do themselves. Except for NM hoarding, that doesn't really affect anything except creating a few buyers out of people who might have camped for the item themself. It destroys an aspect of the game, surely, and I'm sure pisses off the real NM campers who do it for gil and fun, but it's not the route cause of the inflation.

And on a side note: Is inflation really that bad of a thing? As long as you are smart and don't hoarde gil, but invest it into items always, inflation won't really affect you. When gil is less valuable, it's easier to attain. Even as a low level getting 20k for silk threads is better than we had it before. All items rise in price together, but buying things like chocobos, food(created off vendor bought items), dynamis all stay the same. Things cost more but when dealing with others players we can get more out of transactions now... it seems to balance itself out pretty nicely.

Seriously, 9/10 parties I get absolutely sucks. A tank that can't hold hate, a THF that can't SATA, a RDM that melees and do nothing else. a BLM that use all high-level nukes at the start of a party, then dies, shout at the tank and warps home... the list goes on -.-

As for my comments about 9/11 goes, I will simply say this. What I meant is that we had it coming, although those innocent people never deserved to die, and god bless everyone who was hurt by these horrible attacks. But if our former president wasn't so busy getting himself a hummer, he could of prevented the attacks.

I seriously think America needed that wake up call. I think that American officals and government is in everyway to blame for letting such attacks happen. I do not hate Americans, I do not hate my country, however I think we have a terrible gorvernment, and the typical New York-Right Wing-Conservite makes me sick.

How ever I did not say it that way, I was acting dumb, and was off my bipoloar meds(I do not joke). I seriously appoligize to anyone who takes offense to what I have said then, or what I have said just now.

As far as you are concerned Firestreak, you really don't know me. People who know me think I'm a really cool guy, and I will bend over backwards to help anyone. My friend Nyyankee lost people in 9/11, yet he found it in his heart to forgive and forget, Like a true American would.

I think you need to stop using one's mistakes of the past to back up your pathetic flames. So what if I don't know what the fuck "New gil is." I am a third year high school drop out, who has been slacking since 8th grade. And I do realize sometimes I like to talk shit about things I don't know shit about, it's an old habbit of making myself look like a retard.

Firestreak, you need a hobby if you've been hating on krono for over a year because of him sayin one thing. Regardless of what it was. That's just sad.

Also folks, as far as taking in gil goes conside not only the AH fees, but the prices garnered by other things in the game.

Guilds, Chocobo Rides, Airship Rides, Region Vendors, NPC's who take an item you're too lazy to gather and buy.

Personally, it must not be working though... I just saw price on leaping Boots jump +50k in a few days time. I finnally had the cash damnit!

2. What does the President's location hafto do with the attack? He's only human, and while he does have the job to tend to the country and stuff, it's not a 24/7 task..and what if he weren't farming, what COULD he do? "Oh, these two planes are off-course, better shoot them down"? I think that wouldn't have been pretty. And no, there's no magically "change plane direction" button; only way to have stopped it was if someone on the plane did something to defend themselves or if they detected the terrorists before they even got on the plane. It was in NO WAY the Presidents fault. -.-

Honestly, there's no reason to have the blame debate on this thread. This is a derailment of a derailment. It has nothing to do with Krono or what he said. It had nothing to do with what Krono said, which was no where near a year ago(where you pulled that random date out of your ass, I don't know where you pulled that random time out of your ass Anderithe but like usual it was from no where factual).
Krono was pissed off about a fucking football game. He hates the Jets, that's what sparked what he said. No grand political epithanies from high school dropouts here people. He just takes football too seriously.
