Why? You ask? Because, I asked someone to marry me tonight, and she said yes. Now you might be wondering "Who did you ask?" (and some of you have probably guessed already). The girl I asked to marry me is one of the most lovable Taru's out there. Her name is Sabia.

Yes, that's right. Your's truely and Sabia are going to tie the knot. We're still planning, mainly because we just got engaged tonight, but we're hoping to have everything squared away soon.

I wanted to tell everyone before I asked, but I wanted it to be kept secret. Now I have to tell the world that I'm the luckiest guy in Vana'diel. :D

I didn't post them before, but I have a few screens. But first, I'm going to tell you all what I did to propose.

First, I asked her to come along with me to the Wadi for a quest I needed to do. We walked through there killing Goblins for items and money along the way. Then we got to North Gustaberg at the bottom of the Drachenfall. I went and traded my Selbina Clay to the monument, then we sat down outside the cave and just watched the waterfall. Then I told her "The monument isn't the only reason I asked you to come with me." Then I stood up, kneeled, and said "Will you marry me?". It took her a minute to reply, but she said "Yes." Then I gave her a red rose as an engagement gift. Not much, but I thought that it was still nice.

Edit: I'm also an honorary Prarie Bear (this happened before the engagement though). :)
 
I'm very happy for both you and Sabia.

A lot of people in this game seem to be too fixated about reaching higher levels, obtaining pieces of equipment, and so forth. But you are the prime example that the game is meant for much more than that. Best of wishes for both you and Sabia.
