This whole topic is bitching about endgame, fine. You showed the absolute worst of the endgame, and even exagerated several points, that's what several people are responding to. While it's true that most HNM's spawn in windows of 21-24 hours, no one camps them for 24 hours straight, they kill it or watch it get killed, then come back the next day and camp. Next time you want to complain, don't exagerate so much, especially when there's plenty of people to call you on it.

If the endgame bothers you so much, then quit. Either XI or whatever HNM/Gods shell that let you in. It's nevre going to change, so you might as well just leave.

1. Happens anywhere, everywhere.

2. Only thing I can think of with a window like that is Peacock Charm and Kraken Club, both of which have horrible drop rates AND no one expects you to have either of these at any point. The other, somewhat-bad window NMs (Mainly Joyeuse) may have some obscene window, but also have a 100% drop.

3. This is why you do it with, say, a God LS or a group of friends whom have the same attendance (or at least very close to the same) every run, to prevent new people from coming in and getting a lucky shot as opposed to people whom may have been trying for weeks, months.

4. Yes, the winning lots on AF2 (which has the most abominable drop rate EVER) is extremely stupid, I agree with this completely. But if you see the level 59/69 armor as better, why does this bother you?

5. Didn't you just flame me in my own post about saying how I hate getting my butt kissed and help-begged? Gee....

6. Yes, it completely sucks that some Abjs. are tougher to get than other ones by a long shot, but they also tend to be considerably better than the easier-to-get ones.

7. Granted, Kirin's Pole is neat but not at all a master-of-disaster weapon, but look at Genbu's Shield; -10% physical damage. Look at Kirin's Osode, Pretty much +10 every stat and FIFTY light defense. Technically, this stuff is better than GM armor itself. If they made that stuff any better, they'd hafto make the drop rate even worse than it is now.

8. Merits carry over to other jobs as well, which can give some very useful advantages if used right. Not to mention, it's good to at least max out your exp post-75 so you don't delevel too easily, right?

9. Only WS I've seen is Gate of Tartarus, on a bee in Rolanberry Fields, and it only did 270. So yeh, this is completely right, unfortunately, but then again it might have some odd effect we don't know of, same goes for the other "final WSes". But meh, I'm happy with Hexa Strike, and I'll settle with a Purgatory Mace when I can get one, vs the 100m+ Mjolnir.

just a side note to the usefullness of fully upgraded Relic Weapons.

The Knights of the Round WS can hit for roughly 900HP by a RDM on Dynamis Xarbacard mobs, and has a Regen Effect attached to it. ie: use WS, gain HP. how kool is that?
all i have to say is PLD/NIN with Excalibur + Joyeuse = WS machine. With the Regen effect in KotR, you could kick some serious ass and prolly even solo reliably
