Equipment Macros... A rumor i heard

hey guys i was reading a while back on Allakhazam where people lost some equipment when they did equipment macros(sorry but i dont have the link ). Anyway at the time i didnt think of it too much cause i was like lvl 28 or lvl 30, so it was going to be a while before i had to face such problems. But now i'm lvl 49 and pretty soon i'm going to have to buy a light staff and a dark staff. and after that i'll have to get a full set of Ele. Staves, and i REALLY dont want to end up losing any of those high priced items. So i'm just asking the community if anyone has ever had any of those problems, or heard about those problems, and if they know anything about whats going on. Any info would be helpful.

I equipment swap constantly during battle, I have also zoned, warped and been teleported while switching gear and have never lost anything.

I use equipment swaps (and not small ones, large, very big RDM type swap macros) about 10 times in one fight... that adds up to a lot of swapping per XP session. NEver have I ever lost one piece of eqiupment in 63 levels of RDM'ing.

i lost my fortune/lucky/whatever egg (+1%mp and other stuff).
but im guessing that was because i tried using my /heal macro (it equips darkstaff and rests) which is ALT 1 while i was on page 2 of my macro list where ALT 1 is my pull Macro for THF.

so yes... i lost something because of macros, but that was my own confusion that cost me.

Some monster out there has my fortune yolk on it :?

I read that thread too. Apparently he was a Bst, and had his Charm equips on, He switched to Battle, and his Balance Buckler was gone. Nothing extremely expensive, but the thought of losing Valuable items is a bit scary.

I heard the rumour but logically it doesn't make any sense. /equip doesn't take anything out of your inventory or anything like that. The items don't move around at all. I macro in +str rings in place of my sniper rings every 60 seconds for Sneak Attack and haven't lost them yet.

Never has my equipment macros made me lose armor maybe sometimes didn't equipment but that's cause I might have openned the menu too soon

As an Elvaan BLM I switch from MP gear, to INT gear every single battle. I've never lost anything, I will continue to use equip macros at level 51, with no fear of losing my elemental staves.

It's a stupid rumor.
