Erg...
I've been helplessly left with multitudes of hopeless signatures that have gone down the drain. Two monthes ago, I used the GIMP program in the thread that Mai posted.
1. The text editor doesn't work. It closes GIMP down immediately, and I couldn't find the problem anywhere in the FAQ on the GIMP site.
2. Meshing screenshots together. Once getting to the point of putting the final picture together, I followed the directions as posted. I did the color cut thing, but would also affect the actual image I wanted to use. I've also tried the scissors, and custom cut lines. How do I use this part of GIMP?
3. I just suck at it. Can anyone give me any tips to possibly assist my signature-creation handicap? (I will not use any program besides GIMP because I don't want to pay for a damn program.)
So any help would be greatly appreciative to these three problems. Thanks.

I was lucky when I bought my computer it had photoshop elements 2 installed >.>;
