Ermine's Tail Combinations

I hope I'm not repeating a thread that's already been started. I wanted to try to gather information about the Ermine's Tail that drops from MMM. Anyone gotten the drop and willing to post their tabula/rune setup? I know it requires Voucher 07 and Rune 094; any other tips? Thanks.

Gonna edit following chart per subsequent post hopefully for clarity and ease of info.

Purushamriga
Voucher 07 (Liquidation Team)
Rune 094 (Allows rarer drops from chest)
Rune 004 (Beast Rune causing Purushamriga to spawn)
M03 (To resonate Great Warrior Rune)
Rune 013 (Great Warrior Rune which seems to be involved with getting Purushamriga to spawn?)

Suggested for increasing drop rate:
Rune 016 (Stillness gives NM 100-fists)
Rune 017 (Supreme Might: mobs far more formidable)
Rune 018 (Might: mobs more formidable)

Liquidation Team, Beast Rune(for the boss), Lost and Found Rune(for rarer items to drop).


I'm not 100% certain, but reading around websites this seems like it'd work.

Anyone know if the tabulas (M01, M02, M03) make any difference?
 
I went 1/1 on this bad boy (1/...20? on the kogglemander). PM me for details (wasn't my tabula was friends) and I'll get in touch with em if you're really interested.

The exact requirement for the drop isn't quite pinned down, but having Great Warrior resonate seems to help (which is only possible on M03)

in addition:
May need Might and or Supreme Might
May not need Stillness

Resonate is when the element of the rune is placed over the corresponding element on the Tabula. The rune kinda glows, and it's effect is increased.

The current theory is that a certain set of cells are required for the drop, and then increasing the difficulty of the mob increases the drop rate. So while a resonating Great Warrior rune may not be required, it may increase the drop rate. Likewise Might and Supreme Might may not be required (although I think all the confirmed drops have one or the other) but they may increase the drop rate from bad to ok.

The exact mechanics aren't completely understood yet, but people are getting drops "fairly" consistently from a fixed set of runes.

I'm also very very interested in obtaining this dagger, and I believe this thread was made before the patch was released.They nerfed how many marbles you get from MMM, making it a royal pain to save up for the required runes... But now that you can actually allow people to buy your tabula copies, would anyone be interested in giving/selling me a copy?

i have a copy for ermine's tail, has 5 charges and i'd have to talk to my ls mate to get more after that, but its an even more royal pain in the ass to get people to help you kill this damn NM. if i get my dagger first ill do this everyday until you guys get charts, or we all get drops by then. i just want the damn dagget XD
 
I happened to get mine awhile ago, but have been lazy to respond. Setup was DNC, PLD/NIN, SAM, BLU, SMN, RDM. Was pretty easy, as opposed to Pandemonium Absolute Bugard (Tanihwa). Hope that helps and I'd be willing to lend a hand if you need it.

The setup my friend used to get his Ermine's Tail was:

Maze Tabula M03
Voucher 07
Rune 004 (Beast)
Rune 013 (Great Warrior) - on the earth tile, so that it resonates
Rune 017 (Supreme Might)
Rune 018 (Might)
Rune 046 (Dark Magic) - on the dark tile, so it resonates
Rune 075 (Force of Will)
Rune 094 (Lost & Found)

Other setups work, because basically, the harder you make it, the better the chance of it dropping. Technically, the only "required" runes would be Beast, Great Warrior, and Lost & Found (the first two to spawn the right mob, and the third to allow the dagger the possibility of dropping). Might and Supreme Might simply increase the mob's level, and Dark Magic is generally considered the least dangerous of the magic runes (and, presumably, all magic runes have the same difficulty "weight" when it comes to drop rate). Force of Will just makes their magic stronger, I believe (Magic Accuracy/Attack bonus?).

Of the setup above, all can be bought with marbles except for magic runes, and Supreme Might. Magic runes drop decently often from mazes of all types, in my experience. I've collected most of them without really aiming for them. Supreme Might I'm still trying to get for myself, unfortunately. From what I've gathered, it only seems to drop from Voucher 01 mazes. I've heard some people say they had Lost & Found set when they got it, but others have said they did not.

Also worth noting is that TH is worthless when trying to get these weapons to drop. They come from a chest after you kill the boss, not the boss itself.
