I disconnected in Lower Jeuno about 30 minutes ago. No big deal, it happens.

I can log into Playonline just fine, and in fact, FFXI starts just fine as well. I can even go so far as to log onto my extra character.

But when I go to log onto my main character, it gets to "Loading Data" and then stops. After a few minutes, I get the "No response from the FFXI server" error.

Not quite sure what to do to fix it, if it will self-resolve, or what. Anyone have any insight to this?

Someone tripped over a cord while bringing the FFXIV servers into the room.

I have the same situation. I tried to enter Bhaflau Thickets and was disconnected. After that I can log onto all my mules except my main character. after 1min of black screen with "Loading Data" I always have the error 3001 - connection timeout.

It looks like after last emergency maintenance SE messed with some internal routing again.

Ah, sorry for not updating.

It seems to be a problem within the network connection. I moved to another network wi-fi and connected to FFXI. I had no problems logging in at all.

If you find yourself with this issue, move to another network and try again. If you can't do that, the proplem seems to auto-resolve itself after a while; from a few hours to possibly several days.

Apparently they changed their DNS mappings. I was forced to reset my router to flush DNS caches. It helped.
