my thoughts on parry since i notice it proc more but parry is more noticeable(due to skill ups) when it happens than eva(normally capped for me lol)

wasnt sure which to merit since due to increasing levels not sure if one would be valued more than another since I do know that parry retains its same activation rate vs higher level monsters as opposed to evasion not meaning as much(or something to that effect)

monsters I normally fight are em-vt normally so not much of a bridge and I'm not a evasion/parry job by nature, but additional feedback for thf/nin uses be appreciated as in which is better for those jobs!

thanks

Both THF and NIN have parrying caps of A-, so they'll benefit from parrying merits more than other jobs typically would, the exception being SAM and COR, the other A- parrying jobs. I would normally recommend evasion merits first, since evasion is checked before the other defensive skills, and since both THF and NIN have excellent and good ratings in evasion.

But, I would recommend using the combat skill merits to improve one's weapon proficiencies rather than using them for defensive skills. Having that extra accuracy and attack is something that is active whenever one is swinging, rather than hoping that a slight improvement in defensive skill level is the difference between saving that single utsu shadow or not.

I wish we had more than 20 points to allot. With full great katana and sword merits, my dagger is limited to only four merits. I'm sure you would be in a very similar situation, with BLU, THF, & NIN leveled.
