But should we instead consider just moving the whole forums over to eosun.org and just move over the whole database to that instead of this different forum different url thing? If we consolidate a few of the forums we could feasibly pull it off I think...

It's not that the hack is giving us problems, it's more the realization that the actual forums could be condensed a bit.

    • Fan Works

    • Gaming
  • Hidden Forum Area

Actually, after making it out like that...I'm totally digging the idea of just using eosun instead of doing this whole DFDU. I'll need to chat it up with the executives. >.o
 
I guess, just so long as you make fancy buttons for each of the condensed forums for the prefix sorting :p
 
for the record, I suggest "Lazy Lounge" as the something else witty

A lot of people here already have separate accounts on BG/Alla/KI, and with the XI forums almost dead already, they'll probably take any actual game discussion elsewhere.
I'd say just consolidate all XI material into one board on the XIV forums.

Bad kitty! No, I think its good to condense the sites. Having to maintain 2, might be a pain to upkeep. And if XIV gets really popular, people will start talking about XI on there in some other part of the forum instead of using QCDN as it was intended for. stuff will be spread around too much I think. People would probably enjoy the convenience of everything being in one place.

Give it it's own section and keep only the important parts? LS/Dynamis recruitment have it's own good times/crafters corner and AH section XI related section and keep the job class sub folders and maybe consider server folders as well since we don't know how much XI will dwindle once XIV starts up. You could leave qcdn.org as a redirection and explain on the main page what has been done and where to go and then link it.

could always leave it as is, then slowly take more away from here until people get comfortable.
