Apparently they just made an "Addendum" to the original video

Alright well I just had the time to watch the addendum I found it to be interesting also and look forward to hearing some type of debate on the topics pointed out.

I liked the idea of the technological-resource based economy but the main downfall to that I would find to be is population? That's not an intense thinking about it but it's a red flag in my mind about the idea.

Both of these films are very interesting, and have expressed my own feelings where i couldn't find the words. I find the Addendum appeals more to me because it offers some solutions. After watching the first film i felt despair as it seemed there was no way out. I mean i'm just one person what can i really do? I would like to point out however, i feel the venus project is kidding itself if it thinks the world will be crime-free in a resource based society, as there are many crimes that have no monetary root at all. It's just a bit too utopian, and at the end, where it lists the things you should do, it kinda made me think of a cult. It did make me wonder when i looked on the zeitgeist website why they are selling the CD if they are against a monetary system. Seems a bit hypocritical to me. I think they should be offering it free for download, not just to watch on a pc. That would make word spread quite a bit faster imo, which would lead to the social reform they're looking for.

The ideas put forth kinda make me sad though, as i feel this social reform will probably never happen in my lifetime. Eventually something will have to happen, regardless of whether things end up the why the venus project hopes for them to. There are some things this film talks about i can already see happening however. Keep in mind i haven't watched Tv, listened to/read the news, etc in 3+yrs, so there are likely all sorts of things going on along this line that i'm not aware of. I know in ontario there have been a lot of pushes for cleaner sources of energy and enviromentalism.

I've always had a dream of doing "the hippy thing" and buying a large property to be as self-suffeciant as possible. This film really tapped into those thoughts of mine.
