My first job (worked at it off and on for 4 years through high school) was at a grocery store. Worked at a restaurant after that. I am definitely never rude/mean/condescending to employees at places like that, since I have been there.

I always tip well, unless someone is REALLY doing an absolutely abyssmal job. But the people who would come in acting like they were superior were obnoxious.
