not like it matters since it's not going live until the 20th ^^ EB games is getting their copies in tomorrow on the 19th.

apparently if you're north east coast EB or GameStop your copies are coming in tomorrow ;)

My Ebgames and Gamestop always sell every game a day after release. Nothing new there -.-

On April 18, 2006, "Treasures of Aht Urhgan" expansion disc will be released. The service is scheduled to begin in the evening of April 19, 2006.

That's from the website. It's going live tomorrow evening.
 
This is normal, it's not pushed back. People keep confusing the shipping date with the release date over and over.It's released today, but no one will get it until tommorrow.

That being said, SOME people will get lucky, most shops will have it today, the just can't put it on shelves. Some shops make "mistakes" and some people have friends that work in places that have the game, if you get my drift. Regardless, it goes live tomorrow anyways. (Which is NOT the 20th.)

Also a note, chance are extremely high that the japanese will get the expansion and access first, this is nothing new though. They are both closer to the source (meaning they might even get it today) and they are ahead of most of us in time. Since S-E was probably refering to japanese time for the live date, it should be up tomorrow early for us, since it should of already been past the evening of the 19th for the jpn. Rush out to your EB's early morning. :P
 
curse you EB... ></) T_T; I still love my job though. I think work got tired of me calling every other hour this morning asking if it came in :) they checked shipping logs for stores in our district and region, we're all getting them tomorrow
 
they originally said 20, then realized it was a typo and changed it.
 
Heh, too bad. I'm loving the fact that my copy is due through my letter box tomorrow morning. ^^

Hey guys, FedEx trucks and planes can't warp. Thats why theres a day difference between release dates and shelf dates.

No, when it says it will start evening, it means evening for NAs. Because I checked the EU site and it said it would start early morning, so the time on the NA site is specific to us and not for the JPs. If someone who could read JP went to the JP site it would probably say that it will start morning of the 20th.

In short, it wont start in the morning but in the evening like it says!
 
Very sexy, if it's true my friend I'll have to top my hat off to S-E for doing the OBVIOUS. Delaying the hot action date so at least more then just the japanese (in this case they probably decided the two largest cosumer groups was enough) can get access when it first goes live.
 
Just called EB games today though and they said the copies are due to arrive the truck just hasn't come in yet >.> hmmm might possibly have it tonight but will keep calling to make sure :P
 
I just reserved mine today (its the 18th) @10:30a.m. i ran to my EB asking them if it was out today...they said tomorrow ; ;

Turns out Puerto Rico has it in stock at 3:00 pm , my friend just called and the manager swore on his life that the UPS shipping the games will come in at 3 pm, and that he WILL be selling them today. Wish I could go back to my homeland, even if it is pointless due to the live date.

Thanks Reya for the tip. Just found out we do have a local EB that plans to have this in tomorrow. Best Buy said they wouldn't have until the 22nd. Damn Best Buy for not having speed hacks.
 
For some reason most media is traditionally released on Tuesdays. Books, CDs, DVDs are always available for purchase on a Tuesday. But they normally arrive at the stores a few days before. It's just that the store is contractually obligated to not sell any until the release date.

Maybe SE does things differently, but I'm inclined to blame EB for not shipping from their regional warehouses to their retail locations early enough. It's annoying to me because I thought I would have the game earlier by reserving my copy at EB as opposed to Amazon. As it turns out, Amazon would have been just as fast and a lot more convenient.
 
I have a feeling that it is not going to matter in the least if you get it at 10am or 10pm. I bet you a shiney nickel that we're going to have emergency maintences for a week that is going to prevent you from playing. ;)

Or more importantly..... you'll get to 75% Download completion and SE's entire system will come crashing down and cause you to restart. ^.^

C'mon now.. look at the positive side of it. ;)
 
Yeah I went to Gamestop today and they said tomorrow as well. If anyone is going to get it tomorrow make sure to reserve a copy. You know they won't last unless you're like the first one there.
