Hello QCDN.
I've recently gotten clearance from the University of Toronto to do an online pilot study for my research, which will contribute to my Masters and Doctorate.
If you are interested in participating, I would greatly appreciate it. In this case: the more, the merrier.

Please do not look at other replies until you've finished (as this may influence the result). I've purposely set up this thread (with the double post) so that there would be a buffer before seeing replies.
I will ask you to use headphones and a quiet room for this.
Please do not have any other volume controls available (just the operating system's and YouTubes), such as plugging the headphones into speakers.

Finally, there are no right or wrong answers. Just answer what you hear honestly. If you're having problems making it out clearly, tell me what you think you're hearing. You may watch the video as many times at each sound level until you have an answer.
However, please reply using the chart provided for each operating system.

If you need any clarification on the instructions or have any questions in general, feel free to PM me.

First, open this video in a separate page:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFPtc8BVdJk
Let it load and let the video stop playing (it's roughly 5 seconds long). Turn the volume in the video up to max.

Please watch the video at the following levels of sound in order. Make sure to actually watch the video, as if you were conversing with the person in it. Also, please reply using the list of volumes for the respective OS.
Unfortunately, I can not test for all operating systems, so if yours isn't listed here: thanks for your interest, but I won't be able to accomodate.

XP
Spoiler:
This is a little complex to get an accurate scale (as XP lacks a built in scale), so please bear with me.
Open Volume Control and turn the volume all the way down to the lowest point. Each volume change is based on the amount of press of the Up key on the keyboard from the bottom of the scale.

Thanks for participating. I greatly appreciate the help.

Mandatory double post for the buffer space between instructions and results.
If you read this and have not replied (but plan on doing the experiment), please do not read beyond this point.

This should be enough space. (lol)
