Expiration on BC/KS Orbs?

Okay, so I had two separate orbs do this. One was BC20 orb and the other was BC60. Both orbs were on my character for several months now, but were never used. I tried to use them both today and each one was cracked!

Has anyone else had this happen to an unused orb? I was wondering if all the orbs pre-NPC-seal-storage just cracked after the patch was added or what? I'm dumbfounded.

I've had an orb in storage for months (probably 3-5) before actually using it, and never ran into the problem you described.

I do know that if the orb says it's cracked, this is the result of you having used the orb at some point. After you do a BCNM/KSNM, if you do not toss the orb it will be described as having a crack on it.

So my guess if you probably confused the orb with one that you've already used, and forgot to toss it.

Hmmm, yeah something's screwy though. I distinctly remember getting each orb and storing it to use later. I remember both cases well. After the first one, I thought maybe I just forgot or mixed it up, but not after both did the same thing.

I wish the silly orbs just dissolved or something after being used to get you into the fights, I have a couple of unused orbs (a KS99 one and another) in my mog safe for well over a year they are still ok just too bad you cant trade unused orbs back for seals.

I used a ks99 orb I had in my storage for over 2 years a week or two ago and it worked just fine. You probably just used them and forgot about it since they stay in your inv afterwards.

If you are so sure you didn't use them, hopefully you didn't have another set that you meant to save, but dropped thinking that they were your cracked ones.

Didnt your account get hacked relatively recently ... is it possible that they were used while you were hacked?

The account was hacked December before last, and I recovered it in February :O) But yes, when that happened all my seals were used up lol. Thanks for your input guys ^^ I guess it's just me :OP
