yeah so i was sitting in the dining facility yesterday.. wtf is up with college kids.. booing off a "facism awareness" speaker. uhh...... seriously wtf................. i cant even think of what to say.. im just like wow.......... college kids are messed up thank god i joined the air force :)

Facism? do you mean Fascism?

as for Fascism, if the leader is good, it's the best thing, if the leader is bad, it's bad. Even Democracy couldn't compare to Fascism if the leader is good :P

Let's put this whole thing into context.

Some rightwingers decided to create "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" so they could expose the shockingly liberal traitors and enemies of Mom and Apple Pie who are hiding on our college campuses.

It's not about actually raising awareness of fanatial Islam, but about tarring liberals. One of the stated activities was to go to campus Muslim groups and demand they sign loyalty oaths so that, when they refused on "Are you batshit insane?" grounds, they could be accused of sympathizing with al-Qaida.

So when you hear that college kids weren't receptive to this unhinged message from the people who piss their pants every time you mention the word "terrorism" and run screaming to Big Daddy Dubya to save them, that's why.

I lol'd almost excessively hard at this.

What the fuck. I'm a liberal, I love my Mom and, on occasion, apple pie as well.

But I'm a college graduate, and haven't been seen on a campus in over six months. Does that mean I am immune?

BTW, I'd tell those folks to go fuck *their* moms and maybe an apple pie as well...

The event was organized by David Horowitz. Prager's experience was mellow -- he didn't get any boos from the audience -- but Horowitz never got a chance to finish.

The wingnuts are considering this proof positive that university enrollment packages include a Fifth Column sign-up sheet, since the anti-Islamofascist gets boos while the president of Iran gets invited to speak. Of course, they fail to mention the poor deluded slob was laughed at every time he tried to say the jury was still out on the Holocaust.

depends on what kind of fascism the speaker was talking about. If it was a speech about fascism in the united states then i would probably eagerly listen because i'm sure that there would be a lot of good points that i could research myself at a later time and further reform my opinion on the current status of the world. On the other hand if it was just another Neocon preaching the fear the Islamic people then i can almost guarantee that i would boo him myself because that is the kind of thoughtless follow the status quo mentality that has gotten us into a lot of the problems that we are currently having.

It's amazing how in 912 years of history, humanity can take so many progressive leaps forward and yet still manage to take enough regressive leaps backwards to wind up in virtually the same position it was when it began.

The problem is what happens when that leader dies? Sustaining a strong, benevolent, and, uncorrupted leadership over generations is nigh impossible.

Silly people, there are no conservatives on the internet

Seriously.

The internet is like a government. Social graces need not apply.

The universities are thinking the same considering your spelling of college...

im typing on a lap top, and for some odd reason my keys get jumbled even if i type it correctly...
