failed to send (19)

When ever I try to add someone to my friend list or I try to send them a message I get this weird message Failed to send. (19) what is that? I figured it was because my message box was full so I went in and deleted everything but it still doesnt work...Any help would be appreciated thanks...
 
I've been getting that too, I'm not sure what it is.
 
From what I gather this can be solved by deleting the info in your folder path:
C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER\
or wherever you have it stashed away. Note, if you delete ALL the info all of your custom settings such as backgrounds/macros will be reset to default. I would just keep the files named soemthing like mcr through mcr9 inside each of the folders inside the USER folder. This worked for me and someone else.

I tried this unfortunatly is still didn't work I guess Im going to have to contact SE
 
It just means your friend's list is full.
 
Yep. I had this happen to me before.
Then I removed some people that were not in the game anymore, and the error was gone.

Just clean up the friend list, and you can add more people again.
 
I also had that problem some months ago, I just reinstalled POL (only POL, not FFXI) and it worked again
 
I am having this problem for 1 year now and still have it

So my solution, ask people to invite you to /befriends and accept when you log out

I thought that too but it can't be I know people that have way more people on their friends list then I do. I only have 8 to 10 at the most I haven't been playing all that long
