faith torque question

I'd assume classic was first voking as well. To truly compare you need a separate voker from the two in comparison. Not saying it wasn't a great showing for you, but the results are slightly skewed.

Oh wait I misread that that and thought the Ridillberk was Hundi. But rolls can play a factor too. Fighters roll won't help a ridillberk nearly as much as the THF or DRK if that was used. Also if the WAR had hate a majority of the time throughout the party that will skew results as well due to having to constantly recast shadows.

Yea, that's why I was mentioning about the First voking too, the additional shadows needed can cut into damage done.

Fighter's roll you hit on the head too, although it does considerably help in WS damage. With a COR though, I can see why the other member was a DRK...which does greatly benefit both all 3 members if Chaos was used.

See, even jamal thinks Drks belong in merit parties. I've been saying it all along!

BRD COR NIN RDM (or WHM) DRK Me is my favorite party nowadays.

Edit: Sorry for derailing as well ;;

Its a shame i deleted my Drk char and that my Rdm char is back to its original owner. It would have been awesome to get more than one good merit party a month.

Now you just add in a Taru Monk instead of the Drk and it's much more fun =P

And I am loving my Faith Torque for Monk, and I doubt I'll go back to PCC!!

Peace,
Shmed

Aye, agree torque>CC/PCA and most times better then gorgets

I do agree the parse was skewed thanks to various things. it does show that if i improve more of my gear choices I probably have a decent chance of competing when things don't go my way as easily.

Chaos roll was on 100% of the time with the second roll being alternated quite alot and i was kinda busy so i cant say which was more active. The second rolls were thf , war, and for a small period of time the COR roll.
The idea of this was to show that thf can do decent damage though which it does since ebody ridill war with max haste is one of the jobs at the apex of DD and if an unfinished job can get as close as I ended up(albiet with some the puk, the fact that i didn't have to recast utsu as often due to monsters missing me or dying afterwards[the war was first voke with a drk that didnt grab hate enough to ease up his shadow spamming so it did weaken him DDwise even if i was grabbing hate fairly often as well], and the war roll being active a portion of the time did skew things) then a thf with decent gear and skill should be able to put up decent numbers in a party vs a mnk in decent gear.
The problem is that it's alot harder to screwup autoattack-->ws than it is to messup playing thf so bad thives make the job look alot weaker than it actually is.
EDIT: I suppose we should drop this discussion and get back to the topic at hand. aka pup's inabilty to hit anything accurately enough to wear haste gear despite always using sushi.

When you consider that PUP lacks the Martial Arts traits of Monk, has no access to Coloured Belts or Fuma Sune-Ate, and is also unable to use Dusk set, you're gonna want to use all the haste you can. Where you don't have haste you're gonna want the maximum Accuracy you can get (i.e. Peacock).

With regard to the neck slot and whether or not you need the Acc, let's assume that you're going to be using haste gear wherever possible. Meaning...

I'd recommend one of these:

...over one of these:

This:

So to compensate for the lack of Acc in other slots, I'd therefore use this:

...over this:

It's important to consider what your entire setup is before making a judgement about whether "this" is better than "that". Like Roadkill said, a MNK could make more use of a Faith Torque provided he's using a setup that focuses heavily on Acc to compensate for it.

Why have the haste setup if you cant even hit the dam mob. My pup is lv 60 at the moment. I set my pup for as much acc as i can get. Also to answer the Op post Faith torque hands down.

Why have the haste setup if you cant even hit the dam mob.

PUP already lacks the attack speed of Monk from lack of Martial Arts, and coloured belts. A PUP should be doing everything he/she can to make use of ANY available haste pieces effectively. Excuse the pun, but don't be so hastey to reject Haste+% pieces of equipment. If you can't hit the mob with Turban and Swift Belt on, then compensate for it.

Also to answer the Op post Faith torque hands down.

I can't stress enough how important it is that you do everything you can to make these two haste pieces work. If that means giving up Faith Torque for Peacock Charm-ulet, then do it. And that is my point. (Which, by the way, also works in reverse. If you have enough Acc to warrant not needing the Peacock, then by all means go for the Torque.)

I think people keep forgetting that there's a lot of gear that is very situational and dependant on your entire setup.
