Fallout 3

This game is basically the multi plat version of FFXIII. It has a "release date" but everyone knows it won't stick to it, and chances are that it will never be released until no one gives a crap about it anymore.

I'm still excited about it though.
 
omfg thats way too many endings, It would be like the most replayed game ever made if you had to complete the game doing certain things each time through to get a certain ending...
This game will have its own FAQ on just the endings XD
still cant wait tho!

I really hope Bethesda doesn't ruin this awesome series.
 
from the sounds of it, they are doing things right :P Bethesda tends to do gaming right :D
 
As much as I liked Oblivion, I thought they took it in the wrong direction. They keep dumbing their games down and taking away awesome game play features that were available in their previous games. Daggerfall was one of the most amazing PC RPGs of all time. The game world was the size of Great Britain and there was so much complexity and an endless list of skill to use and improve. They dumbed it down hardcore with Morrowind and even more than ever with Oblivion.

I don't tend to like their non Elder Scrolls games. Crappy DS Star Trek game.

I'll pick it up, but I'm not happy with the direction they are taking Fallout. I'm probably one of those old timers set in their way, but the original Fallouts weren't so much about combat as the witty slapstick and situtations built into a RPG.

If you look back at the old games animations and what not, the gore of violence is comical. And look at the goofy Tin-tin type animations... Sort of a comical version of Mad Max. Just not sure how it's going to translate over.

But then again I was thrilled by BioShock and in general hate first person viewpoint games. So, here's to hoping for a suprise.
 
you should check more clips and such out, Damita :P there's some good comedy in this like the old ones. Like, well.. you can create a rocket launcher that launches Tin Lunch Boxes, Teddy Bears, and various other things at the enemy XD it sounds like it is a good successor to a series I loved

lol have you not seen the videos of combat and the music playing the background? Some of the fights are downright funny as hell. The gore in this game is even more, but translates well because of the better graphics. Seriously the blood spewing in this game is comical.
 
i started playing fallout when it first made appearance for pc in the late 90's. i love it...the third one(the real third one which was named fallout: tactics), i didnt like so much. i didnt even bother with brotherhood of steel since that just looked horrible
the makers of fallout are all about comedy. there are so many hidden easter eggs hidden through all three of them. not only that, but it was one of the first games that implemented changes in AI interaction. IE: making an NPC angry therefore changing how they interacted with you. it put a great spin on the game and really made it to what it was.
in this new fallout, i like how they put in the ability to use an aimed shot at particular spots of the body and show the hit % chance. this will be a title that im sure to buy.

I'll go look for newer clips as it sounds like it's changed a bit. The initial clips (way way back) I saw had it seem more like a traditional FPS with snippy dialogue.
 
So... who's got their copy? I went out to the mall on my lunch break to get it. Can't wait to get home and try it out.
 
ive been playin it for awhile, its on hold 4 now but it really is alot like oblivion to me. even some of the menus are the same!
