Hey guys~ Its been a damn long time since ive played. But what are the fastest ways to cap your fame out in Windurst and Jeuno. Any info would be greatly Appreciated. :)
 
The method I used to cap Windurst Fame is the Creepy Crawlies quest. Trade 3 Crawler Calculus over and over (keep the silk of course). As for speed, I don't know but I do know it didn't take long to cap Windy fame.

As for Jeuno, I used the broken Only the Best in Selbina to cap fame in Sandy, Bastok and Jeuno with it. Stacks upon stacks upon stacks of millioncorn, cheaply bought from the regional venders.

To be honest, the repeatables, although simple, aren't really the fastest way to increase your fame. It's been long since the fame nerf happened in an attempt to slow RMT activities in the game.

Your best bet, really, is to check out ffxiclopedia, under the quests section and choose quests with the highest fame return per incident.
 
There was a fame nerf? Didn't even know about that. Regardless, I stand by my advice on Only the Best due to it having additional info on fame levels/# of repeats done in the wiki.

I'll admit I capped by fame back in like 2004.
 
Yeah when I started back in 2003 I capped my fame quite fast. But I kinda forgot which quests to do. So much shit has changed in my years of absence ;p Thx guys~
 
Yeah, they nerfed the amount of fame gained doing repeat quests at the same time they changed the rules for the quest that gets you the map to Crawler's Nest.

When I did the CN map quest, did it in a day, now, however, I don't quite recall if you have to wait one RL day, or one game day to do each successive tablet.

I do know that the shepherd quest in selbina, it used to take like 15 stacks of boyahda moss to gain lvl 6 fame, now, you have to double that to obtain even so much as lvl 3 if starting from zero.

It still can be done that way, just tends to be costly or time consuming with little to no reward. The singular quests, on the other hand, reward you with decent gil and or gear.

If you have money the fastest way is to trade beehive chips for that quest in windy woods. If you don't have money then /sad panda (go farm!). Fastest if you dont wanna farm or pay is probably to trade sardines in port windurst but you have to zone after each trade /sigh;
 
When Bastok is in first place in the conquest, taking a load of cornettes from the music shop from Bastok to Windy used to be the fastest way for loads of cheap Windy rep, but if they nerfed repeatables I'm not sure if that's still the fastest way x.x I also spammed The All-New C-3000 quest in Windy back in the day to quickly raise fame, but it has several pre-req quests and you have to be fame level 4 to unlock it.

I remember running something with you back in the day on Elvenroth D: Good luck getting your new character up and running ^^
 
oh right, teh cornette quest still works when bastok is 1st, i did it 2 month ago for a mule.

A kick ass fame leveler for Norg/Windy I think is the yag necklaces. Strip down your character and go to Giddeus and kill a shitload of Yags. Easy drops.

Isnt the Yag necklaces Norg fame only? I thought they were illegal contraband in windy and did nothing for your fame there?

Though you'd think eliminating many Yags in that area would get you a medal from windy lol.
