This fanart is the cover illustration of the FFXI doujinshi (fans comic) book I'm currently working on. The characters inside all are my LS-mates, hehe. (shh... they still don't know I'm drawing them..muhaha)
It maybe interesting to show my process on drawing a CG pic, so I hope you guys enjoy it ^^
DAY 1 ::: Outline
First of all I did my rough sketch on paper, then scan them into computer.
I am not the kind that can make my drawing clean and clear on paper..
lol so this pic isn't very detail.. just showing the location of ppl.
DAY 2 ::: Fine Outline
Here comes the most painful early stage of drawing a CG -- make a fine outline. So I scanned the pic and open it in Photoshop, using the "Brightness and Contrast" tool to make the lines in sketch more visible (lol). Then open a new layer and use a small size brush (2~4 px), and draw the detailed version for colouring with the help of my old wacom tablet that didn't work very smooth
oh yea forgot to mention that, the FFXI modelviewer is a handy tools when it comes to drawing armor and weapons -_-....
DAY 3 ::: Final Outline
Okay.. just the outline it already took me a day.. and my right arm almost broke-_-
Tomorrow I will post some pic when I colored the pic, later ! 8)
