Farmers and NPCers in The boyahda tree

NPC>other people

NPC can only be summoned every 20hour and you cant move once you pull it out.

If you just pull it out in front a PT and start hacking away at their XP mobs, I can see why they would bitch, and it would be justified. But as wrong as it may be, the ability to leave is still there, where a PT jumping in on NPC leveling leaves the NPC screwed. If I could unsummon or zone with my NPC and not have to wait 20 hours to use it again I might care, but seems life isn't fair, so people will have to suffer with NPCs being leveled around them the same way they have to deal with other PTs leveling around them.

I leveled my NPC from 60-65 in Davoi, on the island with Dirtyhanded Gotchyanutz.

hehe gotchanuts.

oh were you saying to lvl NPC in other areas?
i thought you were telling normal xp pt to go to davoi.

Any time I go anywhere near the house with Dirtyhanded Gotthebutts, I end up dead. The treehouse nearby is a nice camp though. My static had an exp session there.

Both, actually.

The Davoi part was my area for NPC.

Spread out, quit crowding, everyone. Thousands of spots to exp go unused.

I'd like to see that, make the NPC get exp as if they were an actual person in the party. If they're 20 levels down and you're killing EP, they get 5 exp per kill or so. If they're above your level, they get capped to your level and suffer the same exp gimp you would get in level capped CoP zones. If the NPC isn't getting more exp than the player is, you won't see someone demolishing EP and wasting their NPC time.

wOOt then we get to all bitch and complain about all the people lvling there NPC's in KRT and Uggaloph range because they have to take a party of lvl 75's to go lvl there npc

GTFO

No, then they have to kill mobs that take longer than 20 seconds to kill, and don't clear an entire exp zone leveling their NPC.

If NPC's become bound by normal party level standards, then I'll stop levelling my NPC in out of the way zones and treat it like a normal exp party. I'm not going to do all the work of a traditional party with all of the risk of the more hostile territories. Levelling in wildly unusual zones like Xarcabard, Sea Serpent's Grotto and Castle Oztroja is only tolerable because I can essentially powerlevel my npc. In the event I was bound by normal rules, I'd be one more party clogging up already clogged EXP zones. I doubt many other of the already courteous NPC levellers would continue avoiding the prime exp zones. You're going to have the disrespectful players regardless. This measure would only punish the courteous ones.

PL'ing is what's wrong with all you noobs out there, a party can't exist before 30 without a PL all of a sudden. You guys wanna PL your NPC's too, why not just buy an account with a 75 NPC already there?

Noob eh. I'm levelling my npc, and I'm having no problems getting EXP as my blm. Noobs are the ones who can't adjust. I've never been powerlevelled. The noobs are the ones who only know one zone and one mob to EXP on, and all crowd into one corner of one coordinate of one zone and try to fight for the last spawned crab like beggars in Lower Jeuno, and wonder why EXP sucks. I level my NPC in out of the way zones and don't have to fight for every last mob like most other idiots. Noone messes with Sahagins in SSG. Noone EXP's on the top floor of Oztroja. There's potential for some nice gil there too. My actual job's EXP isn't affected by NPC levellers because we don't go to crowded zones. For better or worse, my static likes picking the least popular EXP places. They tend to be less convenient and sometimes riskier, but at least we get mobs. Anyone who thinks that NPC levelling makes getting EXP impossible is just closeminded. There're more places to level than Bibiki Bay and Boyahda Tree, but you wouldn't know it. I'd rather be the noob that adapts than the vet who complains.

When did I say you were the noob? I'm talking about the noobs that buy gil and won't exp without a PL. There's no challenge in the game, they just wanna hit that 75, or get that one piece of gear, and want to get it the fastest easiest way.

When you're out with your NPC killing mobs that provide zero challenge whatsoever to you, then you fall into this category.

I don't go to crowded zones either, or at least before I leave jeuno the zones don't look crowded. When you get to camp and find half a dozen NPC levelers in anon with nothing in their search comment, that is a load of crap. Our party has just wasted time getting there, and we spend another 10-15 minutes of travel because it's not worth it to compete with these assholes to get 2k exp/hr.

Anyhow Stouter I just came back because I think my last post was angrier than I meant it to be. If it sounded like I was calling you or any one in particular a noob, I apologize. Don't want to lose friends or burn bridges over an NPC discussion. That said, I still thoroughly oppose any plan to ruin what I consider the best update to FFXI since PS2 release. What SE needs to do is allow NPC'ers the ability to zone, so that the courteous NPC levellers that do find themselves in competition with a party that comes in second at least has the option to move. Not all of us are that bad. Just a few bad apples.
