Farming Advice

Ok- I know how precious secret farming locations are, and I don't expect you to tell me those. (unless you want to! :wink: )

BUT....

I am a lvl 18 THF/WAR, in Sandy, and a bit of a perfectionist. I saved up 50k and bought most of the things that I needed (I like +1 stuff), but I still need to get my balance rings and trav mantle- which will cost me a pretty penny (75k!!).

So please!! If anyone wants to give me some farming advice, POST- or PM me!!

Also, Do you think that I have a chance in hell at Lizzy and Spook??

You have the same chances with those NM's that anyone else has, heh.

Seriously though, there are ways you can stack things in your favor. Spook is pretty easy, since he spawns in a given spot at a given time, you just need to be there when very few others are. My husband had the best luck in early afternoon weekdays, it was a bit late for most JP players but still kinda early for lots of NA players. Course, he could only do that on days he was off work, and that may not always be the case now with school being out for the kiddies. :P
Lizzy is a little different, she's more heavily camped, and there are often THF/RNG looking for her- having widescan and flee gives them a huge advantage. But, you never know, you might get lucky. Best bet for camping Lizzy, if you're not a thf/rng, is to get some trustworthy friends to camp her with you. Spread out through her spawn area, so you can cover more ground, and try to snag her as much as possible. Course, you'll have to split the proceeds unless A) you're lucky enough to get a set of boots for everyone or B) you wanted to keep the boots, in which case you should have worked out some sort of reward system for your helpers before starting. ;)

at 18 just go to west sara and hunt crawlers.. a lot of crawlers.. just keep taking them down.. infact everyone here on these boards need to farm silk threads so the price will fall back down to 8k
 
I don't know about you...but takes me FOREVER to get a stack of silk threads. Seems the crawlers have crappy drop rates.
 
I believe the rate of Silk drops from Crawlers has been decreased. No way to officially confirm that.. but, I used to farm crawlers and granted it used to take me a while to get a stack of silk anyway. Now it just seem like it takes me just as long to get half a stack as it used to take to get a full one. Needless to say I gave up on that form of farming for now. :/

Maybe ill farm crawlers once again if they ever fix the drop rate.
 
well... here's what i used to do....

farm for silk... sell it in windurst AH
farm for beehive chips... sell it in bastok AH << 3k per stack and fast sell
farm for seeds.... vege seeds sell well

yes... it may not get u huge sums of money... but its a start
