Not really a flame, because, it's not worthy of a flame and naming names... but.. what is it with people who get mortally offended by you daring to farm in the same zone as them? Last two times I have farmed there while having flag up some 45-60 person has TOLD me to leave the area because he is farming there.

err.. I hope they have fun Zitah competing for Goobs^^

Am I being a dick and not leaving or are they being dickless?

its not their zone, competition is part of the game, if they cant handle the competition they need to play a new game.

Amen, I frequent the Goobs in Zi'Tah (I FREAKING LOVE the music there XD) not only for the Cuttings but also the Keeper of Halidom (Gimme the drop damn you!!!!). Competition is normal, but rude /tell's are uncalled for.
 
Yea... rude /tells are lame. I've been farming for Clothcraft materials hardcore these past few days, and in the few times I've gotten pop competition... never was rude. Competetive, yea... but not outright nasty. Even had an offer to team up and let the drops random.
 
You'd think that by level 60 you'd have sussed that farming isn't totally exclusive.

it one the game flaws. Farming is main source of cash. so civil things like camp claim dont exist in this game. sigh make me miss everquest.

Buburimboo is worthless....
Also, he is set away (on the beach) from anything worth killing, so people camping him won't be in your way. Never actually seen 1 person camping him, let alone many.

That said, there's money to be made in Bubu, yeah.



As for people that send you /tells about farming "their" MOBs...Those people need to go fuck themselves with a screwdriver. I've had QCDNers ever say some shit to me about farming MOBs they believe they have exclusive rights to. Fucked with a screwdriver. Yeah.

FFXI Rule 12:

When camping Notorious Monsters they will not drop the item you need unless a player doesn't need the item for his or her's desired job

So true haha, anyway, most of the time the people that get all pissed off are the ones that suck at camping farming spots anyways, they get mad because they want it to be easy. Last week I was at the lake farming bloods/silks and had a person there get pissed at me cause I RA'd and claimed a mob they were about to attack, which is just competition, I had nothing against the person. They then proceeded to keep saying stuff like "oh, that's how it's going to be huh?". I belived My claim ratio to theirs was about 4:1.
