farming survey, please respond

Oh, also, sometimes when there are a lot of shouts, I can bring in 50k or more an hour teleporting, but those times are few and far between and you pretty much have to catch the server at the right time for it. it my least favorite way to go, but i can get good gilz sometimes if i play my cards right.
 
I currently make about 60-80K an hour depending on moon phase, through a combination of fishing and cooking. I haven't farmed exclusively for gil in a long, long time. It's been so long since I farmed that I've actually thought about doing it again once in a while just to break the routine, but I probably wouldn't make as much gil by a long shot, so I end up back on the ferry again, lol.

Back on topic, right now I make about... hm, maybe 360 gil/hour of fishing. About -50 gil if I take out bait costs.

That is such the exageration. :? Even assuming 1k a tele, it will take you about 3 mins per tele to get to them, cast tele, zone in, collect money, warp back, find next tele, invite, repeat. Plus have to add time to zone into mh occasionally to refill mp. At best you could get in 20-25 teles (generous) an hour maxing your profit at 20-25k. On a usual day you can get ~10k an hour from taxi service unless you run into an alliance needing tele vahzel who are paying well.
 
75Thf. Very random, but when I farm, I farm in 3 hour periods.
Depending on luck, I usually farm from 200k-500k in 3 hours.

- about a stack of ninja tools, some bolts, and a jacko-lantern.
 
I haven't done any real major farming in a long time, so these numbers are about 6 months old. Most involve some crafting as you farm.

My first big money spot - 50-70k/hr

Cockatrices in Saur (probably less profitable since mithkabob gimp) - 30-50k/hr

Tigers in Beau___ Glacier and stealing mythril coins - 30k/hr

My secret spot - 30-80k/hr

Goobues in Zitah - 50k/hr or so since the gilsellers left

Like I said, these numbers are old, last time I checked the AH the drops on my first big farming spot had gone up 50-100% from what I used to get for them, and tiger leather and mythril coins have gone up a bit too, so I bet that spot is up over 50k/hr potential now. Tree cuttings keep going up, I bet I could come close to 100k/hr now, but I always farmed them for personal use, and turned in the moss if nobody I knew needed fame.

All these numbers are from a rng/thf, levels 50-75.

Well sure, if you're lucky enough I could farm quite alot of money in one hour even without TH2, it's just the luck factor.

Say I camp Ooze. I kill Ooze 15 times in one hour, I get 9 drops. That's quite a bit over 100k total, and I obtained it in one hour.

Also saying the next day I camp Ooze again and kill 18 times this hour, I get 0 drops. That's 0 gil obtained(maybe 10k or so from Slime Oil) in one hour, total luck involved.

I mine an average of 40-50k an hour atm (but the price of the ores are high) ... several month ago i topped 25-30k.

Don't worry about it, I think a good handful of these people are exaggerating anyway, unless they're very successful NM campers with tons of claims and drops. I'll see people in my LSes say they made 100-150k per hour, but in truth they really exaggerated or kept poor track of time and just counted the whole farming run instead of the hour.

64 thf-40-120k per hour depending on competion, the element of the day, and plain old luck. So TH2: Yes

Sanc of Zi'tah and beaudeux are my favorite solo spots. Team farming I've had some good luck with before, <Secert>.

My best in one hour was probably around 150-160k, and I actually time my hours of farming by checking the clock from when I start so I can compare results. So these numbers from me aren't rough estimates.
 
Rdm/blm usually, or smn/whm.

I make about 2 gil an hour. Pwned.
 
I usually net between 40k-60k an hour as WHM43/THF15 where I farm, depending on how often the Wind Elementals spawn.
 
well...i farm weeks at a time for a bout 5-10 hr (sleep who?)

i also have a Crystal deal w a couple high lv Gsmiths and Bsmiths...so

with my WAR35/17THF=TH1: 30k-80k and hr/500k-700k a week


with my WHM38/BLM, THF35/RNG,THF34/NIN, BRD35/WHM, MNK/WAR :friends (we do a lot BCNM20)=THx3 : 100k-240k and hr/800k-1.5 mil a week as a group, including Bazzar, and AH.

You are definetely part of the minority on this server hehe.

Generally when I farm on thf i can generate about 80-120k an hour but sometimes the drops really suck and frustrate me into buying a yellow curry and destroying them even faster :wink:

kind of dumb but it makes sense to me.
 
less stressful that way too. So one day something comes up you want and you bust out to farm as fast as possible which only leads to frustration heh.

Having a surplus is nice, however mine is completely depleted with finishing CoP missions and the acquisition of zenith slacks (2 sirens hair 3 rainbow threads, 2 gold threads, 2 velvets I think was the recipe for cursed slacks)

Thinking of selling ninja gear in the meantime.. :?
