fuck this game
I personally like whm/drk on major fights that need stun, because lets face it, when you have 2 good pld tanks all you do is haste and pro/shell.

I like being a factor in actually doing something useful like having a part in the stun rotation while being the main whm as well. It helps add a little spice to the boredom that is whm.

On fights where stun isn't a factor because the mob can't be stunned ill go whm/blm, the conserve mp and elemental seal debuff when a rdm misses is buff going off help make it helps a little more spicier with having a little more to do.

What are other peoples favorite subs for whm as well as their reasons why?

needs moar /sch

/blm >.> cause it's the only one I have lvl'd atm, I've been working on /sch lately too and we'll see how that goes.

I've stopped leveling whm until I have SCH @ 37. Quite excited for it actually.

Really though, it's all about /nin and Hexa Strike.

Mainly the best sub depends on situational factors.

However, my favorite sub without a doubt is SCH. Light arts reduces the MP cost and cast time of spells by 10%, while boosting enhancing magic and enfeebling magic to a B rating. Penury (50% MP cut) and celerity (50% cast time and recast timer cut) are to my experience awesome, especially in wipe situations, but also when you need get Regen III, Raise III, Reraise III and Stoneskin off quickly.

Dark arts also has its uses. Enfeebling magic, dark magic and elemental magic are all boosted to B. If you have INT gear, you can aspir/drain for pretty decent amounts which is useful if you're low on MP and are facing mobs with MP. When addendum: black is active, they also get access to dispel and sleep which can be useful depending on your party setup and the event you are taking part in.

And then of course there is sublimation, for those situations when you don't have a RDM. It takes a while to charge as, unlike SCH (wearing AF head) it only charges 2 MP a tick, but it's still better than nothing and it's saved my ass a few times.

On top of that, it has some job traits that are beneficial for WHM. It gets max MP boost and conserve MP which further enhance the utility of a SCH sub.

Although other subs may be more useful in certain situations, I highly recommend, if you don't already have this sub, that you get it as soon as you can. You won't regret it!

I like /sch alot but I still see myself sticking to /blm more often then not. Yes the reduce cast and enhanced enfeebles/enhancing are nice and do really well in events such as dynamis or limbus. But the traits /sch are shit compared to other available subs. that max mp boost hardly helps because the mp boost is higher when you /blm (10-20 mp... hard to compare an apple to an orange since /sch has spell cost reduction) I like both subs though and i would have to say my favorite is uh... uh... hmmm...

The only trait /BLM has over /SCH is Magic Attack Bonus I/II, but like you said, the 10-20MP you loose from /SCH is made up by Light/Dark Arts.

I prefer /blm; /smn I find completely useless, albeit slightly more mp. I'm leveling SCH now, but until I get that to 37 and try it out, I'm going to stick with /blm.

/SCH in most situations. /BLM in situations that require a sleep other then repose, sleepga, warp and tractor.

Favourite and most efficient sub is SCH for me. ^^;

Not going to debate about /blm and /smn because /sch is nowadays defenitely the best sub for whm generanally

I need to get on /sch, that's for sure but I just don't have the time.

/DRK FTW! You want efficiency? Nothing, absolutely nothing is more effective at fucking up the run than a Souleater'd Hexa Strike on Dynamis bosses.

Shout out to the Encore SAMs (Phish!) for all the Shikikoyos.

Warp called, he disagrees with you.

He can disagree all he wants:

Also, Tavnazian Ring, Olduum's Ring, OPs, etc.

Hmm, just re-read what was quoted.

I've been gone a while, but when did SE switch Warp from a spell to a job trait?
