Fay Crozier vs. HQ Staves?

Wondered where Jahn had gone to this time. I went 1/1 on getting the -3 perp on mine, still could use trying again for some better additional stats, thank God I got one done since my HQ staves were on an alt character that got hacked (apart from my BST staves that never leave my inventory). Since like my entire LS seem to have astral burned to 75, my odds of getting a Bahamut's Staff go further and further out of the window with every time they leave Korroloka Tunnel (say what you like about astral burning - it's gutting to slide further and further down the list for any SMN related gear because everyone decided on getting another quick 75 - and rocking an 88 MP ele siphon or whatever - I SPAMMED CURE3 IN THE MIRE - GIMME SOME LOVE!!!!).

Being able to run around on SMN with a slightly less painful inventory is quite nice though - still feels wrong having Carby out with a "dark staff" equipped.

For the sake of it you could always macro ligt/apollo's for Carby.
It's not like you shouldn't carry a light staff with you at all times anyway, even if you only cure situationally.
 
Yeah, I see no reason to switch to my Crozier when I use carby. I still use my Apollo's staff. And how can inv be an issue as Smn? I'm able to keep all my Whm and Smn gear on me at all times and still have spaces left. Mind you, they do share some gear but still.
 
Inventory isn't an issue with SMN... but when the other jobs I play a lot are BST and COR... inventory is painful! Know how women's handbags get filled whatever size they are - FFXI inventory is like that! Nice to be on SMN once in a while and actually have space to breathe to be honest.
My apollos doesn't leave my inventory because of BST maining - just tend to have crozier on for carby out of habit and hanging onto TP for spirit takering if I get the chance. Thank goodness I got one is all I can say since I lost all bar my HQ light/dark/earth staves when my alt got hacked (if anyone sees a blonde bimbo model running around with dalm, full HQ crimson etc - kick her for me :( )

Moghouse your gear? I mean you have to go to a moghouse still in order to swap jobs and shit right?
 
it's possible to to have your gear in mog satchel, easily most of it, smn isn't as gear intensive as jobs like rdm

...because I needed the gil. I downgraded to the NQ staves. I only bought the HQ staves in the first place for SMN because it was a new job to 75 so I wanted to pimp it out as much as possible.

I'm still trying to get my security token so I can use a mog satchel to store most of my gear in that as well. I'm running out of space in all my other storage places.

Haven't had any luck finding a group to do that (there hasn't been any shout groups for it for some time on midgard, I hope my luck will be better once it happens), though a friend of mine, Jahn, made it for me so I really want to make sure I get a good group. CTY tried as a shell once (asking a rdm friend of mine to come along)...we failed pretty hard. Not that I think my LS mates are bad, it's just the RDM Jahn got wasn't as merited/well geared as my friend (who wasn't able to help much) so we couldn't sleep anything worth a darn.

Glad to know it'd be worth it. Here's to hoping my fey croizer's still turned in after...

i have fought that NM once and the staff i got back sucked. been hopping to try again. i'm in if you wanna give it a go.

Nirvana -> Bahamut Staff -> Fay (depenging aug) -> HQ staff

I love my Bahamut Staff but I am working slowly on Nirvana.

Bahamut's <-> Fay Crozier
Barring the augments and situations they're used for on the Crozier they're pretty much equal in terms of power.

I love my Bahamut Staff but I am working slowly on Nirvana.

Good luck, I don't have the playtime nor the financial resourses to commit myself to getting a Relic or Mythic.
