You're not crazy, I agree with you. Our vote should be just as valuable, if not more so, than some faceless corporation or lobbying group. I just don't know how one would go about changing our current voting system.

It would pretty much require rebuilding the system from the ground up, which will never happen, largely because the people who would do the rebuilding are heavily invested in the existing system.

Just about the only thing I like about the Tea Party is the attention it's bringing to the idea of smaller parties than the monlithic Big Two. Because the system that exists currently is fundamentally rotten and corrupt..

But I'm a terrible public speaker without a college degree (at least for the next year or so), so about the only group I'd have a chance with would be the Christine O'Donnell demographic...

But they hardly influence the amount of people that O'Reilly, Beck, and Limbaugh do, and when they do speak out, most of the left chastise them over it. But I don't blame the actions of the clinically insane on the rhetoric of the crazy and exploitative.

And neither are we. I know of at least one person who remarked on how things need to be cooled down in the political climate before this assassination attempt. Gabrielle Giffords.

I've never seen nor heard this aforementioned chastisement of the more vocal and abusive figures in the left. I've seen plenty of support for them, on the other hand. Please stop trying to paint your side in a different light when both sides have been acting like children ever since... Hell, ever since ever. It's been particularly abusive since Clinton was in office, of course, but the two sides have been sniping at each other like this at for at least 70 years.
