FFXI needs a good event system... Like in a lot of other MMORPG's, where the GM's put together events for each area, very often. Like every week.

The least SE could do is make Caitsith appear from a time/space distortion at Whitegate and bring all of us candy, if they don't feel like making Cloud/Sephiroth/Vincent/Tifa/Aerith appear...
