Fellowship quest

Maybe this is what they were talking about a while back when wanting to add "Solo Content" . Could be cool.

I think it'd be cool if you could choose an NPC from the cities to aide you in battle. I'd pick Naji to come out. But it'll probably just be a generic player model. Hopefully the quest won't be too much of a pain in the ass. Same goes for the cool beastmen masks.

This actually looks very promising!!!!

I'm hoping they get it right. It should be really fun to see. But I have a bad feeling SE will F something up as always. I sure hope I'm wrong :?

/em calls dibs on Lion.

I'm just curious if these guys count as pets or not....cause that could screw BST SMN DRG out of NPC buddies. =P

I'm guessing they work like the EFH NPCs, but follow you around instead of running on their own, and attack when you attack, like the DRG wyvern does.

ill bet 1000000000000000000000000000 G that NPC players will be dumb as rocks, i mean look at some of the REAL people we have to party with now that cant do there job correctly :-\

Probably the reason SE is doing this :P

oh, now that i think of it, it wont be valkrum hell any more :D we can go with npc players :D!

This looks promising, I bet they'll count the NPC as a pet or as a real player. I doubt SE will let the NPCs have jobs or abilities cause that could open up a huge can of worms, I can already see what they can be used for if thats the case. As for the Lvl they'll probably set some kind of cap on the I mean comon...it's SE they gimp everything that is good. I can see this being used a lot by me if i need a buddy to camp a higher lvl NM with so I don't die. As for the "Calling" system SE will prolly gimp that someway.

I'm guessing they start out level 1 and gain exp like a party member - that is, if you kill a too weak, the NPC gets no exp regardless, meaning you having to do stuff from level onE and up..which will probably be really tedius...because they'll probably fight like a person with auto-attack and nothing else, via Escort-For-Hire NPCs. Might be a good idea, but I still bet it's gonna be incredibly tough for it to become remotely worth it =\

But a chocobo NPC partner would be neat...or one of those Goblin vendor-guys =P
