Felore and Koening suck hairy Galka ballz

I get invited to a party with a PL in Kazham and this is what befalls me:

Party setup~ RDM(me), NIN(Felore), BLM, SMN, SAM, WAR. RDM75(Koening)

(This happened on my main character Shaolina)

About 3 mandy's into the party the BLM goes down due to a nasty bout of chain-nuking. Naturally the PL gets upset that neither me nor the SMN managed to get in any cure's before he died. I apologized to the PL for not watching the HP bars. (This is where I admit that everyone gets lazy with a PL on the back line, but I'm not offering that as an excuse for dropping the ball. I'm merely stating that this sometimes happens) The party goes on, at this point nothing more is said about the matter. We decide to change camps from the zone into Kazham to the narrow path just before heading down the hole on the way to Yhoator Jungle. It was suggested that we start on Gobs.

Felore>> Did you notice the PL?

Felore>> lol

(in the /tell chat mode when I say "...there it goes again...." Felore is asking the SAM to pull even though none of the mages have any MP, just because we have a PL. Now, to me, this in line with someone not giving a shit just because we have a PL. It's already been demonstrated 3 mandy's into the fight that having a PL curing everyone with no help from the mages is a bad idea.)

(You'll notice that Koening tells me I don't have to melee. No, I don't usually melee in a party with a RDM, before some of you get fired up about RDM's wanting to melee with the DD's. I was melee'ing as well as nuking, curing and enfeebling at this point to help drop the mobs faster for longer chains and thus, better xp. Also at this point I'm spamming cures on everyone because of Goblin bomb damage which the PL can't keep up with. Now the mages are out of MP, again, and Felore is wanting the puller to keep it coming because we have a PL, thus the vicious cycle continues)

Now, what is quite obvious to me, and if you didn't get the idea from the /tell's, is the fact that I was A. Admitting that we should have been watching the health bars, thereby taking responsibility for the death of the BLM. B. Trying to explain that I for one realized we weren't invincible just because we had a PL as well as correct a miscommunication between myself, Felore and Koening.

So as we are entering Kazham to get choco's to Yhoator, I was summarily kicked from the party because it was apparent I was talking shit and blaming the PL for the death of the BLM.

Pardon my French, but...... WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??? Why do so many players in this game assume you're trying to outwit, outtalk, and outplay them? For christ's sake, you can't even explain yourself these days without some douche bag taking offense because he thinks you're being a smart ass! I can honestly say that this is the only party I've ever been kicked from in the years I've been playing and it was for no damn good reason. I was being polite, I was being courteous, but at the end I was just reallying pissed off at the way I was treated. Fuck you Felore and especially Fuck you Koening. You try to be polite in this game that supposed to be fun and this is what you get. Stupid Fucking Douchebag Motherfuckers treating you like the deuce your dog just dropped on the lawn.

It really does suck and Koenig doesn't exactly have a sparkling reputation here, with steal nids and wiping to them and whatnot, but all that can really be said is lesson learned and don't party with them again.
 
You can say you're not blaming the PL, but seriously, have you paid attention Yuhtunga Mandragora's damage? Unless you're toting Astral Rings those things shouldn't even be able to kill you in any less than four attack rounds, which is well more than enough time for someone to "tab through people" and spot whos getting hurt (as if looking where the mob is attacking isn't a dead giveaway? It's not freaking Dynamis.)

You're right, PLs make people lazy. Is it in a way your fault for spacing it out? Yeah. Did you ever say it was the PL's fault? Nope. IS it the PL's fault? For the most part, I'd personally say yes.

I think the purpose of the flame clearly indicated the people involved, not the environment I was partying in. So what if it was in Kazham? I think what happened was fucked up and yes, I got dealt a bad hand by a couple of turds. But it'll happen again with these two as long as one person doesn't agree with them. That it was Kazham shouldn't even have been brought up, because it could have happened anywhere.

When I initially got the invite, there was no mention of a PL. I found out as I was standing on the dock to Kazham that the PL and NIN were awaiting the rest of the party in the jungle.
 
Sorry this happened, I personally hate the "I have a pl so do what I say" mentality of people in parties. Just because you have someone there to PL the party (which isn't always necessarily a good thing) doesn't mean that it's your way or the highway.
I haven't heard the best of things about this duo, and this just seems to confirm some of the things I've heard. Better luck with your next party and thanks for the heads up!
 
If they were fighting goblins in the Yuhtunga Jungle, then that's a slight strain on the PL and the mages in the party as the angry Goblins are trigger happy with Goblin Rush and most of the time you're praying that Bomb Toss is a suicide one. These moves do a lot of damage even at level 30. So I can understand trying to tab to get each player a cure. To be honest though when you have a PL you need to work with the PL as if he or she was part of the party, for the simple fact that they cant see all the HP bars at once, but they can read the chat log and see what's what. However, the PL cantry to steal hate with a big cure (I use Cure IV) to help the mages in the party recover. This is just a rule I give people to that ask me to PL for a while.

Mage died to overnuking a Mandie and PL somehow didn't cure in time; pretty sure OP was booted before they even started on Goblins. =\

Immediately following the BLM it was a non-issue for the mages in the party. We all realized we had fucked it up and from then on made sure the nuke-spamming BLM had plenty of cures tossed his way as well as everyone blasted by the bombs.

Mandies are manageable. Overnuking is the BLMs fault alone lol.

The BLM actually apologized for the over-nuking and the subsequent death. I for one thought the PL took it kinda hard. None of the mages said anything to him because we knew we had messed it up too.

That's Koenig, OP is talking about Koening. Slight difference, but easily mistakable.

And the party leader and PL were obviously looking for an excuse to feel badass. Clearly their intarweb security isn't enough to withstand some minor questioning. Oh noes. Let's kick people.

It's just like 9/10 of the slapstick LSes out there, but in 6-person form!
 
Blm's will tend to freely overnuke if they see a PL is there to pull attention away (or bail their butt out) with a high lv cure. I've said this before and I stand by it, PL's ruin partys I've left teams that contain PL's maybe more people should do this.

Being babysat through my levels is not why I play this game, PL's make the entire party become so relient on the PL that the moment the PL goes afk, or bored and starts skilling up staff on a lizard, the party being PL tends to die.
 
How were you leveling RDM in the jungle if your RDM is 60 :O
