Felore and Koening suck hairy Galka ballz

I get invited to a party with a PL in Kazham and this is what befalls me:

Party setup~ RDM(me), NIN(Felore), BLM, SMN, SAM, WAR. RDM75(Koening)

(This happened on my main character Shaolina)

There we go.

1st- Go to hell people saying loldunes, loljungle and so on, if one is allowed to flame after 70+ there is already endgame board and this one would be useless. Even if skills are limited in the 10-40 range they are enough to flame a noob.

2nd- the problem is the one you said, people get lazy when there is a PL, or worst of all, newbs will NEVER learn to play with them. And we are full of high level noobs.
I know it is not possible to avoid party with PL, latelly (esp. on some jobs) if you get an invite it's a miracle, to be bitchy about PL is just stupid. But people should really not rely on them. I had some party in the last period where one of the member came with a high level whm along, Snowhite i think was his name, i really can't remember him interfering with the party work, had the whm handy just in case for helping Raising in case of shit. That is a PLing i can tolerate, people relied only on their strenght, and PL just reduced (if needed) the downtime.

A mage tossing a cure, or haste from time to time, just reling on the PL to do the dirty job, is just an exp. leecher, and should be kicked, since he is useless, better to party in 5 and get more exp.
On the other hand, the puller/rest of the party MUST be respectful about inparty's mages MP as well.

With 3 mages in the party, thats half the party that should be kicked by your estimation. We soon mended our ways and the party was flowing smoothly.

The person telling the fisherman to keep pulling was Felore, who was in kahoots with the PL. What I found maddening is that the PL was busy /tell'ing me that we need to help with the curing (which we were doing at point) and while we're all resting MP because we're completely dry, Felore is insisting that the pulls keep coming because of the presence of the PL. Goblins are being pulled and tossing bombs and causing damage that the PL can't handle solo, but he doesn't need to because we were helping out as we should. But you can't help when you have no MP. The PL being angry with us for not healing when we can't in the first place while Felore is insisting on pulling when the mages are refueling MP is the vicious cycle I alluded to in my original post.

I hate to have to spell it out, but I guess not everyone gets it. Felore and Koening were working against each others purposes from the start. I noticed this and made an attempt to inform the PL so that maybe HE could say something since it was obvious what I was saying had no effect. However, it was assumed I was being a smart ass, or whatever, and I was kicked from the party for this reason, and not because I was being lazy. I'm not flaming Felore and Koening for what I would call shallow reasons. Felore jumped to conclusions when I said "did you notice the death" and told Koening that I blamed him. Koening in turn told Felore that I was talking shit either about her or in her general direction, when it's obvious from the SS that neither was happening.

Bringing up that PL's make people lazy is like saying that water is wet. Everyone already knows this, so no one ever really needs to say it out loud. The death of the BLM happened pretty f'ing fast due to a combination of lousy gear, spam nuking, low HP, and being a taru. Mandy's have a pretty fast double attack. One second everyone is in the white, I cast a Paralyze, and i'm looking at the cast timer awaiting the spell to go off. The next thing I know the BLM has 50 HP left and by then I can't get a Cure off before he goes down. I think a bad set of circumstances led to the death. We fixed the flaws and moved on. We never even had a close call after that. I got kicked after about 20-30 mobs into the party, not right after the death.

Amazing thing a tank with voke can actually yank a mandy off a soft blm, if they are allowed to. Of course since the blm is probably spamming his highest most destructive spells because of the PL being there to save him then all bets are off and he wont last long.

Btw water is indeed wet but try wearing a raincoat to prevent getting soaked. :)

Just to clarify for everyone, there are 2 "Koe" on the server.

Koening (Hume)

and

Koenig (Tarutaru) (the one Makelith mentioned in Post #2)

I don't see why the huge intricate flame. This is a pretty common occurrence. I think you overreacted. I mean if you wouldn't have spammed Koe with /tells they wouldn't have kicked you. I understand the whole "trying to have an intelligent conversation", but engaging in that kind of thought with those kind of people is a bad idea.

I personally have power leveled myself through many levels and have seen the same dynamics you describe. The Black Mage would die every fight, but I wouldn't get pissed off. I would just raise him and the party would continue. I wouldn't ask the other players to help cure because it's not necessary. I would rather have them do damage than try to cure people. Basically, when I wanted other people to help cure and got pissed when people died I was in a shitty mood. (Which sounds like what Koe was in)

Should have just let it go or left the party yourself instead of pissing them off until you got kicked. You may not feel like they had a right to be pissed off, but they were and you really have no one but yourself to blame for antagonizing them. Anyone could have seen from a mile away that you were going to get kicked. Know when to hold um in my advice.

ego's are getting bigger and bigger. civilized conversation is falling to the wayside as a result.

personally i don't see how having a PL can make someone feel like they are "da shiznit" anyway. mostly it just makes you look like a lazyass. i can excuse people that use a PL for trying to wrap up a subjob or for getting a job to a certain lvl for missions and whatnot. but if you're gonna take you played job to 75 you should stand on your own 2 feet. :2cents:

Why are you even bringing this up? Seriously.

It was the BLMs fault that he died, it wasn't the tanks fault. And for the record i've been 2shot from Mandies in the jungle, Crit + Double attack= Death on BLM. If a BLM is Chain nuking there isn't much even a PLD tank can do to voke it off of a BLM.

Same with End game, although from what i hear your PLD cant do much to save a flea anyways.

In before the "loljungles/stopped reading here" people.

It really does suck and Koenig doesn't exactly have a sparkling reputation here, with steal nids and wiping to them and whatnot, but all that can really be said is lesson learned and don't party with them again.

Spoiler:
my apologies I was thinking of someone in my other ls

Koenig- taru

Koening-hume bst, rdm, smn

but i've seen the tarutaru version ingame and yes they're two different people

There is one statement I find a little funny, Koe says to learn your job( as he is pl) and you won't die and the blm dies from overnuking(a common side effect from being pled constantly).

Back in the day you didn't have so many pls and crap, you just dealt with it or soloed your level, quit relying on pls if you already have mage jobs available, it only lowers your experience(as in learning, not points) in your job, rather than leeching off of another player.

It wasn't my intention to spam him with /tell's. Felore was speaking to him in the back ground and must have told him that I blamed him for the BLM, which I never did. And while explaining to him what was actually said, he's telling her in the back ground that I'm talking shit about either her or the party. I was just defending myself on two fronts when confronted with two antagonists. Anyone would have done the same thing. I think getting kicked was a pretty immature way to deal with the situation.

The reason they were pissed at me is because of the background conversation they were having about what I was saying and completely fucking it up. Maybe you're one to shut up and "hold 'em" when you're getting walked on because people misconstrue what you say. I'm not. When someone misunderstands what I'm saying or completely makes something up, I try to do my best to make sure there is no misunderstanding.

Geez, I've tanked the jungles as WAR, PLD and NIN; I didn't know those little white buggers could actually kill someone :/

cover isn't until 35, more than likely if they were doing Mandies then they were lvl 23-27.
