I was wondering how much fame do i need in Windy do get the quest?

Also I would like to know how much moss should i trade to the Selbina guy to get the fame.

You need all the forks from all the avatars to get the moon bauble to pop Fenrir. So, if you can get all the avatars now, there is no reason to take your fame any higher.
 
I'm going to do the Primes with my LS. (It would take me like 20 times to do the mini fights)

And I was wondering who are the fork holders? I can't find the <pos> on the internet and if I do find the <pos> I don't see the person.

My second question is; do I get the Tuning Forks back after the fight? I'm going to be doing Fenrir when my LS healps me get the Elemental Avatars.

There's 2 types of avatar fights, lvl 20 solo and Primes. When you do the Primes its a Key Item thing. When you defeat the Prime you get a Key Item, a Whisper I believe. With all 6 Avatar Whispers you are able to get the Moon Baubles (sp?) to fight Fenrir. If you do the lvl 20 solo you cap at 20 and go in alone with the Avatar capped as well. Defeating the Avatar at this lvl will give you the Pact but not go towards getting to Fenrir.
 
You actually have to beat the elementals twice to get all of them and fenrir.

Beating them the 1st time around you save all the whispers and trade in for a moon bauble to fight fenrir. The next time you beat them, you trade in the whispers for the pact with the avatar.
 
Wait, so only one person needs the key item to pop Fenrir? I always thought that everyone needs the moon bauble to pop Fenrir. In this case, I might just solo all the avatars and then hire 5 SMNs out . . . .
 
Moss Doesn't help your Windurst fame.

For windy fame, go to bastok markets and Find the Vendor that sells Coronets. 230~ each. Buy as many as you can hold.

Trade them to a NPC in windy Walls for a Quet, something to do with Mandragoras. you get 200 for each of em. After about 300 Coronets, you should have max windy fame if you started from fresh. You will spend 1000 gil on coronets over all, and about 5k-10k on transpertation if you don't have the outpost teleports.

It shoud take 2-3 hours.

And yes, you have to have a moon bauble in order to get fenrir.
Primes are pansys. I've seen several people Duo them on multiple occasions.
It can be done as (any Damage Dealer with both Utsusemis) and a whm, or it can be done as Rdm and Bard, or Rdm can solo, or Monk/war can almost solo, take a whm just in case for that one tho.
