FF11 error 4001

I just got Sky access on Sirjarvis yesterday, but the minute i zone into Ru Ann Gardens the server times out and i'm booted, and get that error message. The area doesn't even load I get a black screen and lag before it times out. I've tried to log in 4 times since then and the same results happen.

I'm sure it's not my video card or my connection, I dont' have that problem even during a 700 person Besieged. Please help me out!

other ppl have had that problem and im pretty sure it has to do w/ the music or something like that turning the sound off is the easy way to fix it not sure what u have to do to actually fix it.

this happened to me as well.... I fixed it by moving the sound file outside of the folder it is in. I just don't remember which one it was exactly. I'm on my father's computer and I don't have access to mine to even look at it, I'm sorry. But hopefully this helps.

This is still going on? Really, I would have thought somebody would have the drive to fix this by now. -_-

That happened to me all the time. I even did a full re-install of FFXI and it didn't fix the problem. If I wanted to play on my PC, I would have to log on with my PS2, get to my destination in Sky, then log back on with my PC.

I think I'll look into changing the music file for the zone.
