I got bored, (again x5M  ), so I was looking at the FF7:AC page...

Everyone know's Cid... he is first seen in FF7 as the spear wielding pilot. Cant remember if he's seen before FF7.
He is also with us in FF10 if I remember right. And now, in FF11 he hides out in Metalworks, still as a pilot.

However, 1 thing I noticed and really got me wondering was in the character section on the official FF7:AC site.
If you choose Marlene, the adopted daughter of Barett. Her eyes are green and blue.
Now if we go forward a little to FF10... We have here Yuna, also with a green and blue eye.

Its been a while since I last played FF10, so I cant remember if anything are ever told about Yuna's mother. But it just made me wondering if there could be any connections with theese 2?
Cid is in plenty of versions, so what if.

The thing about Yuna's Mother was she was an Al bed and as you know there eyes are green and have kind of swirl in it thats why they alwas wear goggles so nobody recignises them. Yuna being have Al Bed gave her the Green and Blue eyes. And about Cid the only connection between the all the Cids is that there a middle aged men who gives the main charicters help and advice.

Yeah, he's in virtually every game. Old coot. 8)

. . .

Cid is in basically EVERY FF.

I havent played FF3 or FF5 for a LONG-ASS time, but i vaguely remember him being in those. and he is for SURE in FF7, 8, 10, and 11. (i dont know about FF9 cause i never played it, it looked lame.)

Yeah, like I said. Virtually. As in: he's even in the movie spirits within, but I don't believe I saw him in the ff legends games for my gameboy.

He's like a chocobo. He's everywhere. Creepy, yellow, featherd, old coot.
Er..
:P 8)

In FFIX, he was the Regent of Lindblum. He was turned into an Oglop by a curse his wife Hilda put on him.

Same goes for Biggs and Wedge in the games. Not sure of their very first appearance (FFII maybe?), but I know they're members of Avalanche in FFVII, two Galbadian soldiers in FFVIII, I don't really remember them in FFIX but I believe they're there, and they're Free Agent Blitzball players in FFX. Oh, and one of them died in the Battle of Yavin, the other had to leave due to damage on his X-Wing.

In FFX-2 Shinra made reference to the energy in the farplane and made it sound very similar to Mako energy in FF7. And his names shinra, so the makers made it look like FF7 takes place ahead of FFX and FFX-2 and Shinra goes on to make Shinra Inc. Of course this doesn't make much sense in many ways, but the makers just wanted to add a connection there I guess, but according to that if anything Marlene would be a decsendent of Yuna and not the other way around :P

Cid appears in every Final Fantasy game except for #1, and in just about every one he's an airship pilot/engineer. (VI and VIII are the only exceptions I believe, he has nothing to do with ships in either of those, and I haven't seen enough of him in XI to know much about what he does)

Reason he's not in those is that in Japan they're not Final Fantasy games, they're part of the Saga series. (7th Saga, Saga Frontier, Unlimited Saga, etc.)

He worked in the Factory for the empire in 6(Forget what he did), and in 8, he designed the Gardens.

In 6, he extracted Magic From Espers that were alive. That was before anyone knew the secret of Magicite.

Naaah. There are those little connections between the Final Fantasy worlds, but no such thing as a seamless timeline. It just WOULDN'T MAKE SENSE MAN!

ok I'm done. <_<

No it wouldnt. But SE put it in anyways. It makes no sense whatsoever, but they just wanted to make that timeline connection :P

Actually 7th Saga was made by Enix America, Inc.
Cool game, btw. Just pretty tough, I've beaten it dozens of times! =)

What I want to know is... Where are Wedge and Biggs? THey been in the intro/begining of a lot of the FF series, and always get killed somehow in relation to the Main character...

for instance... In FF VI while Terra was escorted to Tritoc in the very beginning of the game (While under the power of her slave crown) Tritoc Nuked the duo. In FFVII they were killed when Sector 9 fell off of Migard onto the slums below. I am sure there are other Wedge/Biggs Sightings.

Cid was also the Pilot of the Airship in FFIV btw. After you get to the underground and talk to the dwarves.

Considering they introduce him as the designer/engineer of the airship the Red Wings use in the first 5 minutes of the game, this was common knowledge. :P
