Final Fantasy III, the one never released in the U.S., is out (or coming out.) on the Gameboy DS.

I had a professor who whenever he didn't feel like explaining something in great detail would tell us to "GOOGLE IT!"

Its a pretty decent game. For many of us, it's our first experience with the previously-only-japanese title. The musical score has been totally revamped, and the graphics have been pushed up to about FF9 standards. The gameplay is pretty much what you'd come to expect from an FF game.

It seems a bit difficult at times, as far as i've gotten so far. The scale of enemy strength -> player strength seems tilted more towards the enemies most the time. Right outside the beginning area, I was attacked by goblins, and I kicked their asses, but sometimes a werewolf would be in the mix and that fucker did like, 21 points of damage to my 48 hitpoint having ass. I'm sure it'll level out, or I just need to level up.

If you liked the Playstation FF's, then this one is right up your alley.

Yeah, I'm having issues with difficulty too. Bosses are much much more powerful than the enemies in the relative area.

Currently in Hein's Castle, unable to continue the past couple of days due to most bosses having the ability to do two actions per turn.

I still need to go to The Tower of Owen storywise, have been juggling this, FFXII and FFV Advance so haven't played either as much as I wanted, but it is fun as hell.

The game came out this past wednesday in San Juan.

FFIII is a great game and now it has more jobs, mobs, dungeons, etc...

I played the japanese one, but this will be the 1st time I will have a complete understanding of the story.
