Oh, I'm not the only one getting this. I was in the middle of dynamis and thought my router had broken or something.

I've done some googling around, and it seems to be related to a maintenance about a year ago...

Unfortunately, the websites that had any more than a few posts were either in French (google can translate that, but it was completely useless about what we can do), or Polish (which google can't translate, but seems to have more intelligent people posting.)

was the EU chat though... so I don't know if she's right or not. If its only us that get it, then it can't be a server maintaince, and I don't think PlayOnline would "forget" to put a maintaince message, and shut down the "Play" button, and forget to give any kind of notice about it, for 8 hours, and do a 16 hour maintaince without givign a warning...

hmm, on another note, I think its Windower that does it. I don't know WHAT SE did that suddenly made you unable to login to FFXI with windower enabled, but it was sudden ;

What kind of "maintaince" are they having behind the scenes?

Either way, just take every "wait" out of your ini.txt file and it'll work like a charm =/

i don't have any "wait"s in my init.txt... but the windower website said something about how display settings could be messing it up...

i run in 800x600, and my background texture settings are 800x800... kinda non-standard, and the game runs like crap at 1024x768... but it looks good, and isn't slow at all.

People are saying I have to change those settings ><

My friend had same prob, waited about 15 min, and logged on fine.

She even logged on to a roomies account just fine, so good luck!

Man, I was able to log in fine last night, but now I'm getting the same FFXI-3305 message. I just wanted to put my mule ups to afk bazaar(which is in Bastok). -_-

The only 3rd-party program i'm even using now is the 3D-Analyzer program... since I can't do anything without it (even running the config tools!)

I'm having the same problem. I narrowed it down to one of two things: Windower, or Mog ToolZ. Since I have Mog ToolZ bound to Windower, I think that's my problem, since fullscreen works fine. I'm going to try default settings in a minute, but not being able to use Windower suuuuucks if it still won't let me.

It's something to do with the windower, apparently. I couldn't get on after the maint today, then removed the /wait in my windower.ini and got on just fine.

Ya, like I said. Wasn't the maintaince alone, though, as I were playing jsut fine after the maitnaince for like 5 hours. Must have been something SE did server-side sometiem after the maintaince

I still can't get through, i've turned off everything like firewalls and any 3rd party programs... i've reinstalled FFXI, and i'm generally very pissed and disappointed.

If I can't get this working in a few days, i'm tempted to say i'm done...
