FFXI and its player

I try to help as much as I can. I find going on high level quests (that normally I shouldn't be on) is exciting. I mean.. who doesn't need a spare 64-65 whm with some extra cures? I also like having knowledge of the quests for when I go back, I know what to expect. For example, I did a 5 O-hat run with my LS. @_@ I've never been to such a scary place, but I had blast and was able to meet some really cool people a little better in the LS. (even if it took like... a long time x.x)

Pick up help parties in Jeuno... eh... I get what I need done with that prick up quest group... but it took me like 9 hours with them before ></) curse you CoP and your subligars! I'll keeeeeel j00!!!

"Prick up quest group"? o_O

Freudian slip? o_O

Nooooooooooooo not the subligar run! And what are you complaining about, you're not the one that got dragged out of bed to do that run. XD

So by your logic, we can take your previous statement of, "if anyone helps with gil thatd be cool... or if someone could make me something thats uber enough to sell for a good amount of gil thatd be sweet... " and throw "please" in there to make it all good?

Wrong again.
You're fucking thick.

haha, that was a joke.. you people take things way too seriously.. but uhh... sure?

personallity or not.. gimp as hell or not.. if you dont meet up to peoples standards your not getting anything unless you pay them and thats if they're not "busy"

And hey, if you expect people are gonna roll over for you just because you ask, you're so very wrong. How you act in certain situations (i.e. your request for gil had a real "yeah whatever" mood to it - no one's gonna help if you don't even care if you even get help or not), and react in other situations (for example, this thread).

everyone has a personallity.. and i acted in a "yea whatev" mood because i was in no way serious, and this thread was no reaction to not having something handed to me for free.. it was a "people are ass holes on FF cause they already went through what the "noobies and newbs" went through...

im fine with people being busy, all i was saying was that most people say they're busy when they're not or they want a big reward in return like everyone on there is made of gil..

ive been helped, and im grateful, very grateful at that, and ive helped in return...

all this thread was for was to say, people dont ask for help to get it and expect to pay someone at the end, or even before it starts, and if they do its cause no one will help them in the first place...

being busy is understandable, but saying youll help and then say your too busy and never plan on helping after that or expecting a reward in return when it wasnt mentioned in the first place (for example: Teleports) is absord...

i like how it all starts out with people talking about how they help or could care less about who they help and turned into bashing crayola for making threads.. real nice.

thanks but no thanks, its stupid when people go from flaming a whole group to jumping on one person for a stupid joke thread and then a good topic thread...

thats thick

Now it's a joke?
After 5 pages, NOW it's a joke and I take bullshit motherfuckers like yourself too seriously.
What a crock of shit cop-out.

Beggar, period.

Eh. I agree. I can't stand a "noob". I'll argue with them till I'm blue in the face though, which is kind of pointless, but makes me feel like I've made the effort.

Now, if a Newb, becomes a noob, don't complain about it unless you're willing to fix the problem.

Time spent on -new- players is never wasted time. Unless a noob teaches them. SO Save us from future noobs, and mentor a newb. \('.'\)

...the ask for gil or a high priced item was a joke.. not this thread nor its 5 pays..

the crock of shit is you trying to bash me for doing nothing wrong accept for talking about ass holes that dont do shit unless its for them or they're getting something out of it.. only reason your so ticked about all of it is because you may be just like them..

i havent begged not once.. nor do i plan on or ever will..

you jumping on my case cause you dont like the thread..

thats a joke

Meh its like real life. If you ask a friend to help you out with something that isn't fun and they are not busy they will probably help. If you ask a stranger they will either charge you are refuse.

Sure this is a game not real life...but why should human nature stop applying as soon as you enter a game? the answer is that it doesn't.

I would be willing to bet the people who help in the game also help people out in rl and visa versa with the non-helpers.

Btw in defence of the people who charge...they ARE giving up THEIR time to help YOU, if this is a complete stranger i can understand why they would want compensation. Especially if like 90% of people who shout for help you are completely unprepared, and they don't just have to "kill an NM" they have to find out the quest details, hold your hand getting there, hold it more while guiding you all the way through the dungeon and then kill the NM after possibley dying several times for you, so that you can say "wow thanks i'm now going to go and forget who you are!".

i cant argue with that.. honestly, thats probably the best response on this whole thread..

i give you props for that.. thankyou.

Correction, I don't like you, beggar.

sure, i prob do need help with gil when i only have about 4k ATM and cant get anymore cause no one needs 90% of the stuff i sell... but that was just for hate, but i havent gotten any yet..

i havent begged not once.. nor do i plan on or ever will..

This reminds me of the time me and some friends were cruising and one of those walk around sales guys comes up trying to sell us some "childrens books". He had his whole sales pitch ready and rambled his 500 word sales pitch quick and clean like he fucking practiced the whole night.

The whole time I kept thinking. "Does it look like me an my boyz wanna buy your friggin books?".

Have the brains to know what and when to sell or you look like a stupid begger.

haha its so funny because ya'll dont know him...if you did, then you would know what a total joke all of it was...haha o'well...see you n00bs on ffxi!!!!!best game ever!!!

P.S. WoW=gayest game ever

I was reading this-- Finished the first page and was going to defend crayola against the the flaming of his flame... Then I kept reading.

Admittingly, I don't help out random people as much as I used to. The phrase "You need friend's to make friends" holds true even in this game. Between scheduled events/missions, exping, getting items that I need or helping people I know with the things they need does not leave as much time as it used to. I will still go to the extent of shouting for help in jeuno on a case by case bases. Why should I burden an ls mate to do a mission or quest they have already done if I can simply find people who need it? On the other hand not having people you can rely on sucks too. There are days when I just wanna throw the keyboard acrossed the wall-- those are the days when I actually need help with something. And it's usually not finding help that pisses me off, it's because this game makes it absolutely impossible for me to do it myself. lol. Anyway, good luck.

iin all, ive found out who the ass holes and fucking pricks are, and who arent..

thank you. and flame, you might not like me, but thanks. i truely appreciate the advice..

Don't sweat it. Sneaky quickly decides who he likes and who he doesn't like.

It takes time to get a good group of friends on this game who are willing to have fun and help you when needed. Just socialize, try to make friends, and be the best at whatever job you're currently leveling. You'll make many friends during your party sessions, and some of these friends you make will undoubtedly have high level jobs and be willing to help with quests and whatnot.
