We're getting off-topic...but...

How does it blow the 360 out of the water?
At most, the PS3 only only surpasses the 360 by 5-15%...
And the only reason I can think of that it might "blow the 360 out of the water" is because of BluRay. But...360 doesn't require BlueRay games...So Xboxers don't need to worry about that. Plus...Because of BlueRay, the PS3 will be alot harder to develop games for. Giving MS another upperhand in the industry.

With that being said...
It doesn't matter which console is "better" or "worse"...
It's the software for the consoles...And which consoles have YOUR favorite type of software.

You realize that the upgraded HD isn't the only thing on the $600 version, right? The $500 dollar one is missing some important stuff if you want to see all the PS3 games are capable of.

And Wieghaf, I was using it in the same way that Hellstorm was using it. There's a decided gap between the two systems performance, and saying "The PS3 is 15% better than the 360!" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

360 was 300-400, depending on which version you got, PS3 is 500-600 depending on the version. That's an average of 200 more, when looking to the same versions(core vs full) so PS3 is much more than the cost of the 360. They're not "virtually the same" in any way.

Hi guys :)

As a (really) old-school PS2 boy that had never played an online game before ffxi, I have a general question or three:

1) Is ffxi available on PS3?
2) Would I have to buy a new ffxi software pack to 2box PS2 and 3?
3) Would the same apply if I were on a PS2 and a 360?

Thanks in advance. I really don't know where else to even start looking for this info.

I dunno if FFXI has been announced for the PS3, or not.
I'm positive FFXI for the PS2 will work on the PS3...what with backwards compatibility.
If you wanted FFXI on the 360, you'd have to purchase the game again...But, you can still use your old PlayOnline account.
 
LOL any of you read "The Onion"? I think it was right around tax time there was a pie chart on the left front page of "things we blow our tax refund on" -- PS3 was like 26% or somethin. I'll find the link...
