FFXI on an EEE PC?

[Bustaballs]

Has anyone given this a try? I hear WoW runs at a decent fps on he 900 and up. I was thinking about getting the 1000.

This should help you, I instantly recall reading a thread elsewhere about it:

In short, not worth the effort/time, judging by the posts.

If you want a painful way to play the game, be my guest. I've heard of some getting it to work but I can't imagine it would be any sort of a breeze. Especially anywhere with more than 3 characters in the zone. Not to mention the tiny screen. I own an EeePC myself and it honestly hasn't even come across my mind to even try it.

That's on the 900 and back. The 1000 is much more powerful.

Just buy the new MSI one. I was pokin around with it at work the other day. Thing's strong as hell. And not much different in size than the Eee.

They're so diminutive! X_X

What's an EEE Pc?

A 7 inch flash memory based laptop. There are a lot of 7-8 inch laptops out now catching the wave of a smaller linux based system.
