I was wondering what players use for their parsing programs in FFXI these days? I used to use DirectParse (version 2.1.1 is what I have) but I know that with every update, there was something in one of the .txt files that had to always be updated (memloc?)

Last time I asked for advice on a parsing program, I was told that KParser was the one to get. However I have never been able to get this program to work.

So if anyone could suggest a parser that works, i'd appreciate it. And if you have the link where to find it, that'd be great too.

I also would like to know if anyone can point me to a site where I can find the most recent version of FFXI Modelviewer with the newest updates for gear. I'm looking for the original version that was made by Foyle.

Thanks in advance!

I personally still use DirectParse, the latest version being 2.2.92 which you cvan get at http://sourceforge.net/projects/directparse/
The current memloc is 0x00581518 which you'll probably need to change in the DvsConf file.

http://www.ffxidats.com/ has the Model Viewer you're looking for, however it hasn't been updated with the newest gear.

Should probably move this to the appropriate forum lol.

Which forum should this have been posted in?

And thank you for your response Gannon, that's exactly what I was looking for.

You posted it in the FFXIV general discussion forum by accident, lol. Mods moved it already though.

She has a tendency to not look at things before she enters them in...Ha!

Ah, I didn't pay attention to the roman numerals >_>.

Thanks for moving it!

lol, I didn't notice where it was posted either due to the recent threads window thing on the index page.

I like Kparser the best, It used to not work for me as well. But recently I downloaded it again, put in the new memloc, and bam it started working. I find it far better than directparse.

Off topic, yet not off topic. I've definitely met Foyle irl. Cool dude. Makes some great cosplay props. Apparently that's the reason he started the model viewer in the first place was so he could look in detail at various costumes/items in game to make them for cosplay.

On topic lol

I know you're interested in Foyle's viewer, but Altana Viewer is updated and has pretty much all the newer gear, if you're looking for any newer stuff. I can send it to you sometime Zer if you want. Although I think I'm missing the most recent .dat pack for it with the latest gear.
