FFXI Tee's!

That's so dumb they always do like with pokemon and yugioh and stuff. Wonder who wears those in public. ><

my idea for a T-shirt...

front: FFXI: Hey, its cheaper than drugs...

back: But they help.

You guys would not actually wear this shit in public I hope.

Isn't it bad enough we all play an MMORPG? Could you possibly be anymore of a dork?

Kinda sad if you buy that then u kno your like wayyyyyyy into it

I have the Bastok Nation shirt, worn it occasionally. It is geeky, but no more sothan wearing a shirt with a sports team.

To me, wearing a video game shirt is far better than some of the stupid shit I see people wear in public. I personally don't wear the ffxi shirt my friend got me because it's a Japanese shirt and a Japanese XL is like an American medium at best so it doesn't really fit. I do however have some other game shirts I've gotten (mostly freebies since I work at GameSpot/FAQs) that I do wear in public.

I'd rather be seen in my Soul Calibur III shirt than something stupid like some shirt with some HILARIOUS slogan about drugs or something like I see some retards wear.

HAHHAHAHA Look at you trying to cover yourself up. Watching sports does not make you a geek, playing sports does not make you a geek, wearing a sports shirt does not make you a geek.

Playing FFXI makes you a geek, wearing shirts that have to do with FFXI means you're a huge geek.

Seriously, don't hide it, you're the geek of geeks.

Nope, you'll just end up looking like these guys.
Packers fans don't count, plus people only do that when they go to games.

I don't care what you say, FFXI shirts are extremely nerdy and if you try to prove that wrong then you need to get a life.

Hey... if I go to the fanfare or a linkshell gathering, I'm making my own shirt & it's going to look at least as nice as my sig... If that's geeky so what! I'd rather be a geek than someone who rather sit & watch sports then get into some of the action of what they love... so yes I would & may!

The only thing that makes FFXI gear .. or most MMO gear more geeky than anything else of the game genre is that it's obscure. People don't look at me like a social lepper when i wear my mario mushroom shirt; sure it's geeky, i'm ok with that, but it's recognizable. People go "hey! mario shirt, kick ass." whereas you're just begging for an inquisition when wearing something of that nature, people have to ask questions and prod you on how much of a dork you really are.

IMO if you're in to something enough to buy clothes/gear/etc and flaunt it around in public or otherwise you're a geek, no shame in it. I know sports geeks, music geeks, movie geeks, game geeks, cultural geeks, the list goes on and on. The only thing that makes it a social drag past high school is when you can't accept it for yourself and live with it.

Closet geeks suck.

Since when is wearing a Garnett jersey geeky if you play the sport too?

The point is everyone's geeked out over something. That's all, the same defense could be used for the shirts in question, though after looking at them i personally wouldn't be caught dead in them i can understand the driving force behind people wanting them. The only thing that makes them geeky is the obscurity of the subject material and the fact that most of them are rather uninspired; were it more mainstream it wouldn't cross anyone's mind.

The fact remains that if you're in to something enough to broadcast it on a social level out in public via clothing, tattoos, flashing neon sign over your head, etc you are in fact a geek for that subject matter as it's obviously important enough to you to share your fascination of it with the world wether on a conscious or subconcious level.

All i'm really getting at is it's a matter of perspective really, i tend not to put a negative connotation on nerd/geek as it simply means you're in to something .. and bones on ya for it. Ya gotta have a hobby, all work and no play makes jack ... uninteresting.

i designed a shirt and am actually gonna buy it cause i think its hilarious!
Their site is having problems so i cant put the design on there...but it has a reference and quote from my next video ^^ ill post a link when they finally let me make it if they do it like that

It's the exact same thing. Sports have just been around longer so they're considered more "normal" than video games. The term geek is now more synonomous with the word enthusiast than with anything derogatory. So by saying that wearing a video game related shirt is stupid, you're saying that wearing a shirt about anything is just as stupid.

Edit: Oh, and you play the game too, so if you think being a geek is a bad thing, then you're a geek too.

Yea bullshit, I love seeing people like you try to come up with that shit and try to make it look correct. You're a bigger nerd then all of us if you wear these shirts, sorry, no use in arguing. Its the truth. Understand it, deal with it. I just like making fun of people like you.

If you think my argument is bullshit, attack the arguement, prove it wrong. All you're doing is just acting like a little kid, insulting people while ignoring everything that everyone else says. You have yet to show how wearing a game-ralated shirt is different than wearing a shirt related to a sport or anything else. All you've done is just say "you're a nerd/geek" and have yet to contribute anything of substance to the thread.

I'm a geek, fine; I don't care, I know that already. I work with computers all day and oh wait, I watch anime too; who honestly cares and how does that have anything to do with what I say? What, do you think that by calling me a geek you're going to hurt my feelings or maybe that it'll make anything I say meaningless? Grow up, nerd.
