FFXI Update Problems

Hi everyone,i know everyone has had their share of problems downloading updates and all,but I am having a particular problem.
I get through downloading many files,but there always seem to be one or two files i just stay stuck on, last one was 54.DAT
Does anyone know if there is a way to like update FFXI outside of POL?
or can anyone like make a website that has all the files needed for all the updates?
Last time this happened when i tried updating my PC(after re-installing),i just copied and pasted the .DAT files from my laptop and the update speeded through,cause it seemed to get stuck on some files as well.
Can someone PLEASE help me out?

I've tried downloading like 50 times on both PC and Laptop,none work.

Don't expect solutions within 30 mins on a forum. They commonly take a few fours or days to get replies unless they are a very hot topic. As for your problem, there is no way to update your program outside ffxi. Try running the file checker in pol before you log in. If that doesn't work trying contacting pol tech support or reinstalling ffxi (tech support will probably tell you do that anyway). If a reinstall doesn't fix it, then you need to start worrying.
