FFXI Video... wow

this video is kinda old isn't it? i've had it downloaded for a while i just realized

Ooh, thanks for posting this. ^^ I had this video before, but I forgot to backup a few folders when I wiped out my computer and the one with all my FFXI videos was one of them. D:

yay :D my thread necromancy was in good use ^^v

OMG, wow, i was really on the edge debating wether or not to come back to FF, now after seeing that i really want to!

Yeah... It is kinda old. But what I wanna know is... about 6 and a half
minutes into the video, he has panoramic shots of various areas such as
the spire of Delkfutt's Tower in Qufim Island, and Tu'Lia.

Is there some kind of aplication that allows you to do that sort of thing?
Rones knows what I'm talking about, and he probably knows what I
have in mind.

Any ideas? Or did the guy who made this video just use stuff from old
tech demos and promotional videos of FFXI or something (For THOSE
particular parts)?

hehe.. I think he used it from cutscenes within FFXI

I suspect he used FFXITool. You can download it here (Scroll down to where you see Last Update in red, click it).

Nice thread here showing what you can do with ffxitool to look at zones. Page 3 features instructions on getting ffxitool to work and use.

If you are still trying to download the video, I found a working link here. This is the link used by just about every other site I saw it on, so probably has enough bandwidth to spare.
