Just thinking about some 'kind of' neat things that would be cool to have available in FFXI. List any of yours, if you have them...
1. The ability to see what buffs/debuffs a party/alliance member has on them when their name is selected.
2. A button/command that automatically interrupts any spell you were casting
3. A spell that would make magic undetectable (i.e. sneak and invisible)
4. The ability to visit other peoples Mog Houses (select the MH guard and there will be an option for a list of names in alphabetical order which can then be selected. A maximum of maybe 10 players can enter 1 room)
5. (I know new jobs are just kind of overused, but eh) A job that would be fully customizable through a merit-like system from lv 1 and onwards. You choose which weapons, armor types, spells, abilities and traits to use as you level, but you cannot be proficient with too many things at once (i.e. be proficient with more than 2 weapon classes at once, or 2 armor classes, etc.) To change the configuration of this character, however, youll have to do a long and tedious quest and/or some BCNM's. (kind of like the NPC quests)
