FFXI windowing problem

[Bajaratt]

This has been going on for about a month or two, and I was just living with it at first; but now I'd really like to fix it if I can.

My problem is best summed up with this picture:

Those black bars are annoying as hell, and I can't seem to get rid of them. I've tried re-sizing the window, both in game and from the unofficial windower loader. I've tried changing the texture resolution, and that does nothing either. The only thing that seems to work is putting it in "true fullscreen" mode, but that mode is really annoying when I'm using my mouse outside of the game.

Has anyone seen this problem before, or know what it might be?

According to Windower Forums that generally happens when you have FF in Windower Mode and using Windower iirc.

Check under start>Programs>PlayOnline>Final Fantasy XI>Final Fantasy Config then make sure the "Start in Windowed mode" is unchecked on the General Tab.

That was it, thanks.
